Bad Company

Good Luck getting paid, you may get paid but it will not be on time nor will it be for the amount of work you've completed.

I was hired to do work for this comapany several times. At first they seemed like nice enough people, but after doing several jobs for them, it was obvius that they were not willing to pay a fair amount for the work they wanted done. They also wanted me to travel long distances to do jobs for them with no consideration as to fuel or travel cost. They never had any compliants about my work.

I hadnt heard from them in a long time, when Brad Bowden called me and asked me if I would be interesed in doing some jobs for them that they had coming up with Lowe's

He sent me a background authorization to fill out. When i spoke with him and asked him if it would make a differnce in I had some convictions 25+ years ago, he said he could not use me on those job because of Lowe's policy of excluding any who had (ever) been convicted. When I explained to him that Lowes was acting in voilation of the law and made him aware or the following. and told them I would file a complaint against them and Lowes with the EEOC and the Labor Department. They fired me for "being disrespectful"

"job applicants with criminal records are protected under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which prohibits unlawful discrimination in the hiring process. In addition, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) also has established guidelines stating that any hiring decisions based on criminal background checks must consider the severity of the crime, the number of convictions, the length of time since the crime was committed and the relevance of the offense to the position being offered. In most cases, background checks only look back about seven to 10 years, so a youthful indiscretion should not haunt you the rest of your working life"
