Purchased a Groupon for a sunset photo shoot while we were on vacation, made an appointment with Lexi who asked me to email her beach photos that I liked so she knew what style we were after. It seemed legit.
She asked us to meet her at the local pier, which was a little bit of a walk for us, but I had never been to the area, so it was fine.
We planned an entire vacation day around this, making sure the kids were fed, getting my husband, kids and myself ready. Not to mention all the preparation ahead of time coordinating outfits and looking up the photos to send her.
We waited right where she said and she never showed up, she didn't answer any calls, texts or emails.
To top it off (not that this was her fault) as we walked back to our hotel an hour after we were supposed to meet her, gang violence broke out and three people were shot. Luckily we made it back to our hotel safely, but my kids were traumatized.
Once back at the hotel, i commented on her Facebook page about my disappointment and she quickly responded saying the triple shooting was extenuating circumstances. I commented back saying that it was a nice try, but that it didn't happen until an hour AFTER we were supposed to meet - I would know, we were there when it happened! Instead of ever replying, she just deleted all of the comments and I have still never gotten any other reply from her.
We would have been more than willing to reschedule or meet somewhere else. Found out later that we weren't the only ones she scammed. Unfortunate that Groupon doesn't have a better screening process, even more unfortunate is that there are people like this in the world!
Lexi Morgan- The Pesky Pelicans SCAM ARTIST She had offered a $49 groupon for an hour beach photo shoot. Says in the groupon she will meet within 10 miles of clearwater beach FL zip code. We made an appointment with her while we were on vacation. She was shooting a sand festival on clearwater beach fl, and told us we had to come to her if we wanted pictures done, even though we requested Indian Rocks Beach which was in the 10 mile radius. Okay so we get there, paid an outrageous $20 to park. Meet up with her. She was nice, but in a hurry. Our shoot was suppose to be an hour, but lasted 30mins. Says she took 100 some photos and she had enough to edit to give us our family photos to remember our vacation. We get home,4 days later I shoot her a text asking how the pictures were coming along. She said "ooo their fine, I'll have a link sent to your email tonight!" I thanked her. 2days later, No link. Texted her. No answer. Called 2 Days later, wished her a happy mothers day and asked about the pictures, still no Response. It was our last year in florida for a few years and she ROBBED us of some of those memories. We wasted 3 hours, getting ready early in the morning, doing hair&makeup, getting a toddler dressed, driving to HER, wasting money on parking.....3 HOURS OF OUR VACATION WASTED, that we could of spent at the beach. This lady should be ashamed of herself. POOR BUSINESS ETTIQUETTE. BEWARE!!!! Lexi morgan is a SCAM!
