I called Thunderbolt and spoke with Cody and he gave me an estimate to replace my engine. I told Cody I would have my vehicle towed by AAA to his shop and he offered to have my vehicle towed for free on March 25th. I asked Cody could they check the vehicle so I can know what my actually total cost is then I can make a decision and he said yes. I contacted Contacted several days later and Asked him had they looked at the vehicle so I can know what the total cost is and he said yes $2758 and my deposit would be $800 so they can start the work. I went to the shop and gave him the deposit and signed the paperwork. Cody contacted me on the April 22 and quoted a higher price due to the core not being repairable which i'm not disputing but stating that we had to get all of the additional work done. The General Manager Joe Cane was very rude, I simpl asked that they give me an email address to the corporate office so I can send in writing what my complaint is and find out how we can resolve it and he refused to give me any information. I simply want part of my deposit backand take my car somewhere else.

Shady Business Practices!!!!!!!

My husband had his transmission replaced at Thunderbolt in May 2014. He was pleased with the service and stated if he ever needed a motor he would bring it to them for the job. Several moths later his truck broke down on the freeway. He had Thunderbolt to come and get the truck from our home. He was quoted 1870.00 for the complete motor and installation. He paid the deposit and was told the truck would be done in 3 weeks. Three weeks later he was called and quoted that he needed additional parts and the new quote was 4179.47. My husband went in to see what all the truck needed because he had warranties on most parts on his truck. The shop manager show him the parts that were needed and agreed for my husband to bring them in. After reviewing the truck with the shop manager, the manager stated that the truck had been sabotaged. The last person whom had worked on the truck had drilled a hole in his freeze plug causing the motor to lose oil and fail. My husband told him that they were the only mechanics that had worked on his truck when they replaced the transmission and it had to be someone there. He denied the accusation. My husband was very upset about this and told them to stop working on the truck until he check more into it. They later stated that they would not accept the outside parts and he had to use theirs. Several days later my husband went in to work out something with them. He asked if they would just install the motor for the original quote without a warranty and he would replace all the other parts they refused. At that point they asked when could he pick up the truck. He said Friday and that day was Monday. They agreed but they would keep the deposit. Long story short we had to pick it up earlier because they said they no room for nonpaying customers. We picked up the truck and found the motor totally torn down and several missing parts. We had to go in the next day to recover some of the missing parts. But they said they had thrown away the freeze plugs. (The evidence). The remaining parts were going to be used on other vehicles The shop manager actually said that. Thunderbolt is paying him for the missing parts. That's the only good part out of this deal.
