So I purchased an item that Todd Caswell was auctioning off on eBay (The Closer series on DVD). The auction ended around 3/15/14 and I ""won"". On 3/18/14 I updated my account info (it had been several years since my last purchase on eBay and had moved since the last transaction) and paid for the item.

However, Mr. Caswell went in and printed off a mailing label before I had paid for the item, so he wound up mailing it to my old address. Honest mistake and not a big deal, really. Anyway, I waited and waited and didn't receive the package so when I tried tracking it, I discovered that it was sent to the wrong address. I opened a case through eBay.

Mr. Caswell contacted me and he explained his mistake. Said it took some effort but he was able to contact the post office and have the package returned to him right away. Upon receipt, he's resend to the correct address and email me the tracking info. He also asked me to close the case with eBay because my payment would be held up while the case was open. Like a fool, I believed Mr. Caswell and closed the case as requested. This was on 3/26/14.

2 weeks pass and I hadn't heard a peep out of Mr. Caswell and still didn't have the item I purchased. So on 4/11 I called Mr. Caswell to find out what was going on. He told me that the post office didn't send the item back right away as expected, but that he'd gotten in back earlier in the week and it was sent out again. His wife mailed it from her work so he didn't have the tracking info; his wife wasn't home at the time however, he'd send the tracking info first thing the next day. BUT he was also pretty sure I'd have it on Saturday.

I waited 3 days and nothing. No package received on Saturday, nothing on Monday, no phone call or text with tracking info. I tried re-opening the case at eBay to no avail, since the original case had been closed and eBay doesn't allow for a case to be reopened and/or a 2nd case opened. They referred me to Paypal. I contacted Paypal. They can't help me because I previously opened and closed a case with eBay. Pretty much, I am out of luck.

Frustrated, I reached out via text to Mr. Caswell on the evening of 4/14 with the following: ""There is still no delivery and no tracking info provided. I will be taking next steps to have my money refunded to me. At this point it appears I've paid for nothing.""

He went off, blaming me for not having an updated address on my account. I guess he just doesn't tink he's at all responsible for confirming shipping info before sending. Perhaps the concept of people Having purchases sent to an alternate address is beyond his ability to fathom. I guess me waiting for a month, with NO proactive communication from him... NO attempts from him whatsoever to let me know what's going on... just silence... I guess I was supposed to sit around and hope I got what I paid for.

I have closed my eBay account... they clearly do not care about their customers. I will avoid any financial transactions using Paypal as much as I am able, because they don't seem to care either. I discourage ANYONE from purchasing anything being auctioned by Mr. Caswell. If you do wind up making a purchase, and if there's any problems in getting your purchase, DO NOT close your case until your purchase is in your hands! The guy is not reliable when resolving problems.
