Towers Property Management Reviews

  • Apr 2, 2015

Ben Isip and Towers Property Management accepted my HOA payments for over 2 years from my Bank of America bill pay account sent to their address. Until last October when they hired a new accounting person that only works from 9-1. When he received my payment like I had sent them every month for over 2 years, he rejected the payment and it went back to Bank of America. I had my next peyment already scheduled which he received and this time accepted, cashed and posted to my account. I now had a late fee from not accepting the October payment plus interest. I had the next payment for December already scheduled and he rejected this payment which put me in the rears plus late penalties and interest. I don't check my bank account that often and didn't expect this to happen as they had accepted this payment the same way for over 2 years. At this point Bank of America stopped sending the payments because they had rejected the previous payments. Once I checked my HOA account and realized this was happening they had alreays leined my townhome. I never received any notification of this happening. At his point an attorney is involved and there are attorney fees also. I explained all this to the attorney and he said he would work on this with the association and Ben Isip. Ben Isip said the notices were sent to my townhome address which had an approved tenant in it for a year. I hadn't lived there for over 2 years and my address with the county is my new address in St. Petersburg.

After a week of the attornety working on this I received notice that he was no longer working on this and another attorney would be handling this. After 2 weeks with no new attorney handling this I tried on numerous occasions to talk to Ben Isip about this via phone calls and email with absolutely no response. I finally paid what they said was outstanding which after a week they cashed the checks and still have not removed the lein from my property. This situation has been going for over 2 months and Ben Isip basically says this is none of his concern to talk to the Association Board which you can never talk to. They have basically illegally leined my property and haven't fixed it.
