While on vacation in punta cana, dominican republic . Me and my husband were walking the beach when we meet a guy name pedro who invited us to visit

A new resort (royalton). The place was beautiful and he invited us to get information In case we wanted to visited the property on our future vacation.

After signing to receive this information tour which they said

Would take 90 minutes. They introduced us to Tommy the person who would show us everything. Tommy was the first person we meet, up to this point that spoke good English. After telling us about himself and what his company was. I quickly realize this was not a tour of only the resort but

This travelsmart that he was telling me about was a vip club of some sort

If I joine I get half price vacations and vip benefits by using their smart points.

This guy was convincing and by the time he showed us the beautiful members area where the room had swim up pools and ocean view

Butler services. All this is mine with the smart points. wow! I was sold

And we spent almost 3 hours with Tommy's boss negotiating

We were told this is our only operunity to get the membership, now or never

So we bought a seven thousand dollar program, down from the fifty thousand dollar price tag he opened with....

When we got home and check the members Web site I only notice a

3 or 4 dollar difference between the travelsmart members page

And the public online travel pages! not the big saving the guy promised.

Next day I tried to call the customer service number they provided,

I almost had a heart attack with every ring when I got no answer!

Wrote a thousand emails with no answer!!! It's been months now!!

At the end we were sweet talk out of seven thousand dollars

Imagine if we had bought that 50000$ plan we would of been screwed!

Be careful be safe and be smart! Don't fall for this b.s. vip stuff they sell you its a modern timeshare vip club scam for the unsuspecting fools who trust anyone like me and my husband did...

Blessing to everyone

And don't be fool by this travelsmart /smart points crap

If you did buy it try to get your money back right now

Or you will be shocked like we were.....

Once you leave that county because it's impossible to

Communicate with them from home.

The Sting 1973

All along my wife and I knew we did not need it, but we try to be pleasant, trying to help the economy of Mexico. Alittle extra funds for a supposed uptake in class VIP and a free resort room vacation (excluding of course obvious lack of sale flight costs for plane reservations, yearly Club fees, inconvience, daily resort fees and transaction fees). When we gave the$18,000.00 we thought, maybe we can use it and cover the losses abit. A whole day surpassed since the resort dropoff, we were impatient and we still haven't walked in the sand and the 3 pina colladas didn't help choice decisions either. Deal done, without instruction that we had 5 days to cancel. Uneasy about the whole thing; then we got home and read the Club Rules. Evil, immoral, slavery for 15 years, and they wanted our offspring for beneficieries. Imagine, they even want money yearly for things that can affect the resorts such as earthquakes, hurricanes, mismanagement and probably Club corruption and inefficiency. We got out for a penalty of $8911.00. My life is back. Sad to say though, the Travel Company who powers TravelSmartVIP is the most at fault. We will never fly through them again.

Grand Bahamas Freeport resort Memorries is an attractive all inclusive resort. My wife and I arrived on cruise ship Grand Celebration on March 23, 2015. Transportation to resort was by transport bus (Van) but was quite accomadating. Check in at Memorries Resort was quick and room assignment great. Grounds of resort very nice and we were having great time. Then suckered into 90 minute resort tour----turns into 5 and 1/2 hour sales pitch of which seems a very good deal to receice VIP benefits by buying Travel Smart V.I.P. Membership.

This is just another way to market Vacation TimeShares by using points. When we got back home and looked into this club---we could do just about as well without a membership, so wrote and mailed contract recision by March 27. If I really get contacted back by this company it will be a miracle(just my thoughts at this point of time) since I think about how this club is organized.

!. Bought Membership at Memories on Grand Bahamas

2. Bank Transactions Travel Smart Toranto Ontario Canada

3. Communications by writting only to address in Mexico

4. Disputes to be arbitrated by Panamanian law

5. Called Travel Smart and only could talk to conceiger dept, which said it would send email documents on to others(Good Luck To Have This Happen)

Would Book another vacation to Memories Resort, very nice resort just ignore Travel Smart V.I.P. Club pressured sales---Really not worth it

Go To Bahamas And Have Fun In The Sun-----Keep Well Away From Vacation Timeshare (Clubs)Scams
