Tropic Powersports Reviews

Vespa was running poorly. Would start but not accelerate. Tropic felt it was a old fuel in tank issue. They picked scooter up. Then service took 2 months to flush tank, every time I called , still working on it. When I picked it up they said oh by the way you might need the steering adjusted in the future. $400+ to do this. I went to drive the 12 miles home and it felt like riding a steer. Stalled half way home then died on my block. I should have charged it back. They picked it up and broke a brake caliper when fixing the steering issue which never existed before . Another $400+ so over $800 and another 2 months to fix this.

On May 13, 2914, I purchased a 2011 Suzuki V-Strom motorcycle and was hastily rushed out the door without being provided an owner's manual. I called the store on several occasions to ask them to remedy the situation but they refused to get one for me at their expense.

I was told by the business manager that I could easily find one online but she did not offer to pay for it. I called and spoke with parts and all he told me is that they are not a Suzuki dealership. Furthermore, before purchasing the motorcycle I was assured by the owner that the tires on the bike had at least 3,000 miles of life left on them

He was wrong as I went to try to trade the bike July 10, 2014 and found out that the tires were worn to the cords---400 miles after buying the bike. I am too old to be racing or abusing a bike so this does not make sense.

How can any reputable company sell a bike at full retail with mediocre tires? Never purchase a used bike at this dealership without a mechanic along is my advice.
