I called Kaspersky, my anti-virus provider, India answered the call (800) 903-7319. I allowed them permission to access my PC. It showed I had been hacked and Trojan virus. I was offered purchaing lifetime fee of $499.99 to protect my computer. Also another $199.99 for a 1 year fee to call technicians and have my security checked regularly and often. $99.99 was waved because it was so expensive and I am a senior person.

After I paid the $600.00 my information was passed to a IT technician. He accessed my PC remotely and when he lost connection called me on the telephone to get him back on.

I just looked them up on the Internet and found out they are fraudulent and am very upset. I have notified my credit card company as well.

Scam by Trove IT

This company is really a big scam. i called them for Mcafee as it wasn't taking up my product key on it. so i called mcafee for help but this company answered my call. And they took remote access of my computer and told me that there are some hackers in my computer and they have damaged my system files and security. So i need to repair my computer by a microsoft professional which they can provide and they offered a rubbish membership as well and asked to paid $ 900. as i was scared so i agreed to pay and i shared my details with those guys. Now i got knew that this company is scam so am contacting with FTC so that they could know about it.and talked with my credit card company as well to reverse all the charges.and it was a lady with whom i spoke named with Prerna. Sr. Assosciate . A big scammer she is. she should feel shame while doing this scam.

Same scam

Same thing here-very suspicious: The refund amount changed between the two callers! They said they could not mail a check for the refund. They asked for my bank account number, date of birth & credit card security code, all of which I refused to give them. The "supervisor" then argued that the number was NOT a security code! That's when I hung up, saying I was calling the bank for verification.

trove it solutions

they scammed me big time. I called thinking I was talking to Norton security tech. I was then charged $299.99 to clean out my virus. Later on I had to call them again for something else and they charged me $399.99 for a three year tech support membership. Now on 2/2/2015 they are calling to tell me they are closing up and will refund my money, but I need to open a Western Union account while they had complete access to my computer by a program. They brought up the WEstern Union web page and had me complete the form EXCEPT, they wanted to type the "password". And he said it was microsoft123. However, I could not see what he actually typed. Then I had to wait while he was still in my computer and I had to confirm my email once Western Union sends me an email. I kept waiting and waiting. He didn't want me to hang up but I did and I told him to call me later. Well, good thing I didn't wait cause if I would have verified my email and entered the pin number sent to me by Western Union, they would have been able to take money from my account. I tried to log into my supposedly Western Union account and the password that he said he typed was not correct. I immediately emailed Western Union and told them to delete any accounts with my email and phone number. I also called their fraud department and did the same. They immediately deactivated the account. Now I have to go back and find the credit card charges that amounted to $600 to report fraud and have them removed/credited to me. WHAT A FOOL I AM!!!
