I purchased an auto insurance policy from a brokerage called insure on the spot. insure on the spot gave me a full coverage insurance policy for my 2011 Nissan Altima from an insurance company called United Equitable Insurance. upon purchasing this policy I only was asked about the vehicle I wanted to insure, the drivers of my vehicle and my current address. I gave my vin number, my license number and my wife's license number as well. I paid my premiums and I was told I was covered. I needed full coverage because my car is being financed. I had a six months policy which I paid in full Within four months. I later had a car accident one month before I was supposed to renew my policy. My car has over seven thousand dollars in damages. I filed a claim and within 48 hours my claim was denied. I was told that I misrepresented myself when I purchased my policy. More specifically they said I had moving violations from 2012 and my wife's license was suspended. I was never asked about my previous driving experience and we didn't even know my wife's license was suspended. I explained to the claims adjuster that I was never asked about my driving experience. I was driving my car at the time of the accident, I have pictures of my injuries and I went to the hospital. United Equitable still refused to pay my claim. They said my policy was null in void and that they would return my premiums. my accident was May 3,2015 and I have still have not received my premiums. Also two weeks later after this company denied my claim they sent me a bill for towing my car to the shop they told me I had to take my car to. I am very upset with this company because I feel they just looked for any reason to not pay my claim. I also asked the claim adjuster isn't it the company's responsibility to run a motor vehicle report of the drivers trying to get insured and I was told they can pick or choose who they run their mvr. i knew then this company was a ripoff. Now I'm stuck with a car i can't drive, a car payment for a car can't drive and eventually my credit possibly being ruined if I don't continue to make the payments on my car.

This company is very rude, insured driver was insured and wrong on date of accident damaging my car Door. Now a letter was received staing that Insured driver was dropped from policy and my claim.was etíopes leaving my doors unfixed. This company need s to go out of business

so i was sick and couldn't get out of bed to take my daughter to school so i asked my brother to take my daughter to school... my brother had an accident... i reported it to my insurance company the same day april 15,2015 .... i had a friend of the family to tow my car to his shop... insurance nave sent their insurance towers to pick up my car without my permission... and when i called them the next day they told me they had their towers pick up my car i asked them why did you all do that without my permission. no answer they told me i had to talk to my adjuster... huuuh.... i never got a call from him im always calling in getting sent to voicemail and leave messages and everything. now today ive been calling all day.... my adjuster call me one time. april 27,2015 just to tell me he's. sorry about the bad news but they just dropped me because. i told them that i had a valid licenses. but i never told them nothing like that... but the lady told me something different.... she said that when they typed in my name and dob my license number pop up automatically.. so now yall got cought in a lie... never ever referring anybody to the .... somebody plzz help me find a lawyer.... they doesn't. have supervisors. or managers at all... very rude people...

November 17th our family's home was hit by a tornado. My girlfriend and I had just bought our first car in April of this year. The same day we bought it we also bought full coverage insurance through Accurate Auto (which is under United Equitables) At the time of the tornado our car was sitting in our drive way. Luckily, there is only cosmetic damage on the drivers side.. a window was blown out, driverside mirror is missing, and a few dents. Shouldn't be a huge problem right? We brought our car to a shop in Willmington on the 21st. It took 4 or 5 days for the adjuster to come look at it. Soon after, we recieved an e-mail informing us that we are in violation of terms and conditions for not informing them of everyone who lived in our house at the time. We have no knowledge of EVER being asked for this information when we took out our policy. We had to fax them my mother's name, birthday, and License # to them... Fast forward- It's been 3 weeks today since we brought our car into the shop. NO ONE can get a hold of our agent, Marc McEwing. Us, our lean holder, the car shop and the customer service personel at Accurate Auto have tried calling numerous times. Every time we call his answering machine picks up and says ""I'll be out of the office until Thursday"". We call on Thursdays, still the same message on his answering machine.

I have left this man at least 6 messages and an e-mail asking him to PLEASE call me. I am always polite and professional to him and the girl who transfers me to his office.
