US Postal, Publishers Clearing House Reviews

  • Sep 9, 2014

Today, we recieived a phone call at 1pm from a person who named himself: Mr. John Wayne calling from the US Postal Service on behalf of the Publishers Clearance House. He claimed we had been selected on the monthly random drawing and won third place in winning a grand total of: $3.5M in amercian US Dollars AND a 2014 Mercedes Benz.

This individual claimed he was calling from their Las Vegas, Nevada office and insisted we had two hours of early notification to claim our winning prize money and car. He said this was very legitamite, very real. In order to recieve our prize, we had to write down two claim numbers: 679005 & 66785, supply a valid ID (Drivers License, Passport) show proof it was us and go to a local: Walmart, Western Union, Money gram and wire $350.00 US Dollars to a certified banker at US Bank addressed to "Peter". Once complete we will recieve a briefcase and that the numbers provided "one for the left and one for the right side" to open the

Realizing this is a scam, I encouraged "Mr. John Wayne" to supply me with further contact information to verify his information. I asked him for his website information, email he escorted me to the US Postal Service website.

Next, I requested a call back number twice. He stumbled and provided these two numbers:

1. (876) 849 -4572

2. (876) 845-4452

When asked to speak with his supervisor or providing me the company general council's names: John Wayne replied he was the main person, no need to worry "maam" you are a winner. He claimed to immidiately go and pay the delivery charges at once at western union and that with in two hours (get this): The US Marshall office, The IRS official and the Publishers Clearance House Gerneral Attorney will be at my house to deliver my new car and earnings.

While inquiring of the earnings of the $3.5M winnings, he said all the taxes have already been accounted for with both the money and the automobile! I said 'really? how so?

I then asked them to please read back the name on the winning ticket and his response was: Of course it's you. Dont you know what your name is? then asked me to please spell it correctly. I refused to do so, I told him I go by two different alias names on behalf of my work and senior leadership in the financial sector.

Surprisingly, he then asked me what I did for work and I replied: well it's your LUCKY day.

I indirectly work with the OFC, OCC the IRS, FBI FinCEN financial Crimes Enforcement Network of Anti Money Laundering department and right now I'm going to file a Suspicious Activity Report under the guidance of the Government, State board agencies. I guided him through online reports of this being a scam, told him I had been recording the conversation and again requested him to provide his real name, exact wherabouts because now I have evidence and it will be traced.

Needless to say, I scared the crap out them and he slammed the phone down.

I'm sure he will think twice on the next call he makes.

If you do get a call like this. Tell them you have them on recording, ask for them to provide the winning name, ask for location and collect email, phone numbers websites if you can. Don't fall for this, It's NOT real folks.

In my opinion, these guys need to go to prison for fraud, money laundering using US Postal, US Bank, US Marshalls office, IRS as there scam process. Today, I am filing a report.
