In my opinion, Dr. Chris Serafini, a chiropractor at Valley Spinal Care-Kierland is probably the worst Doctor I have every encountered.

Serafini took my money by concealing the truth about my insurance coverage. He put me on a maintenance program before fully correcting my spine. He insulted me when I would not buy unneeded services and supplements.

A breach of contract that states "when we know or believe that your chiiropractic adjustment is no longer covered, we will discuss this matter with you" I believe obtaining my signature by deception is against the law.

As a senior citizen and medicare beneficiary I am saddened and angry that a Doctor could treat the older population (who are in pain and maybe struggling financially) in such a deceitful and dishonest way.

I only wish I would have checked out Dr. Serafini with the Arizona State Board of Chiropractic Examiners before beginning treatment. It was there that I discovered (after the fact) that the good doctor was brought up on charges for a severe DUI. The board found examples of where the Doctor's statements were inaccurate and misleading. The board found under A.R.S. 32-924 (A)(5) unprofessional or dishonorable conduct of a character likely to deceive or defraud the public or tending to discredit the profession.

Valley Spinal Care-Kierland-Dr.Christopher Serafini

In my opinion, Dr. Chris Serafini, a chiropractor at Valley Spinal Care-Kierland is probably the worst Doctor I have ever encountered.

Serafini took my money ($1,200.00) by concealing the truth about my insurance coverage. Medicare has no caps/limits on corrective adjustments until ALL the subluxations are resolved. It took my current chiropractor eighty adjustments to correct the three regions of my spine that were out of alignment. AND, Medicare paid for all of them.

Serafini lied to me when he told me that Medicare only pays for fifteen adjustments. Serafini used a bait and switch routine to cover himself, calling additional adjustments maintenance adjustments. Why would a doctor prolong a patients pain, keep that patient coming back week after week for adjustments, adjusting one region of the spine instead of the entire spine?

G R E E D.

1. Know how many adjustments your insurance covers BEFORE going to a chiropractor.

2. Pay only with a credit card. Do not give up your dispute rights with cash or a debit card.

3. Find a chiropractor that treats the whole spine, not one vertebrae at a time.

4. If on Medicare, know what an Advance Beneficiary Notification (ABN) is

5. There is a correct way for an ABN to be executed. If in doubt, see a different chiropractor.

6. NEVER sign a contract without reading every word of it and GET A COPY.

7. Check out the chiropractor with the State Board of Chiropractic Examiners.

8. If the Doctor sounds like a used care salesman- Run For The Hills.

The Board found under A.R.S.32-924 (A)(5) unprofessional or dishonorable conduct of character LIKELY TO DECEIVE or DEFRAUD the public or tending to discredit the profession.

Seems like they try to cheat everyone out of their insurance

When you visit a chiropractor it is when you are weak and vulnerable. I was in severe pain when I began treating with Dr. Serafini. I didn't know that a DOCTOR could or would be capable of exploiting human weaknesses and vulnerabilities all for the mighty dollar.

A grifter is someone who swindles you through deception or fraud. The difference between a grifter and a thief is a grifter tricks you out of your money through lies, while the thief takes it by force. The end result is the same.

Valley Spinal Care-Kierland does not care about the pain you are in, they just want your money!!

More and more patients are posting negative reviews on yelp to help YOU. They blatantly, intentionally and knowingly mess with you with your insurance. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!
