On nov 19th paid in full for hot tub and tv unit,added upgrades,told dec 28th delivery ,then told they didn't have deliverly at holidays,called today after 2 more emails spoke to a forienger,told out of business ,out your money ! Really nice scam.We all need to sue these people to much money paid to be scammed! Time we do something .I paid case over 6000.00.Saved all my life for this.

I paid $3747 for hot tub on Oct 16, 2014. Delivery was to be Nov 30. On Nov 30 they emailed saying delivery changed to Dec 30. On Dec 30 they told me on phone that they were out of business. Refused to give my money back. No tub, no money.

I bought a hot tub off these people that seem to change their company name every other year.. They were originally Choosedirect.com then they became directtohomeappliances.com, and now they are valuepointdistribution.com.. The main principal of the company is Steve Barbarich.. I sent them a check on January 17th 2010 for $4,650.00 which they cashed and I never received my hot tub..

They have since refunded me $1,800.00 against the $4,650.00 but $2,650.00 is still owed as of 2/10/15..

My last correspondance was from a Marianne from directtohomeappliances.com on 4/8/14 telling me they have no money for refunds that it's been a slow year and she was hopeful they would resume by the end of the year.. and since then nothing more until I now find out they changed there name to this one..

Anything that can be done to obtain the balance of my refund woul be greatly appreciated I've contacted the BBB the Attorney General of California along with the San Francisco District Attorney's office who back them was putting together quite a case against this guy because he was using the mail to obtain his checks so they were claiming mail fraud.. I've had many dealing with a [email protected] He was the person at the District Attorneys office I was dealing with..

This company needs to be held responsible and Steve Barbarich needs to be locked up in prison for all the scams he's been able to pull off with all of us out here..

I purchased my spa on 18 May 2013, after numerous delays it was delivered on 2 Nov 2013. I purchased my spa for $3699.00, this price include a Pop up DVD/TV/Stereo system which was a quailfying factor in selecting this spa. While the company was good at keeping me updated throughout the delay in delivery, upon delivery and reporting to the company that my spa was delivered with out the TV/DVD/Stereo package I was replied to by the Customer Service manager in a negative manner. I have talked to customer service over the course of 16 months, along with the service tech.

I am constantly givin the run around, from it will be delivered in two weeks to being told I can go and purchase my own system and be reinbursed. Since the arrival of my incomplete spa, I have be lied to, given the run around and get nothing in response to emails, phone calls, including leaving messages on the parent companies voice mail. I would not recommend this company in any respect, apparently customer service when one spends thier hard earned money they have no regard for honoring thier sale and product. In submitting this, understand, I have contacted this company a minimum of 75 times via phone, and constant emails with no results.

Terrible customer service

I echo many of the comments already posted. They treat you well when your product is on order, but they treat you very badly once it's delivered. Shoddy parts that are difficult to get replaced under their warranty, parts fail after only a brief period of time, no replies to emails, no returned phone calls from the customer service manager (who is never "available" when you call to speak directly to him/her). Just awful.

This company has to be one of the most horrible to work with. I purchased a spa from them, along with installation service, on October 4, 2013. I was told it would ship out from their factory the week of Nov 22. I was then told on Nov 25 the spa would ship on 11/29, and was provided tracking information. I check the tracking information, and it belonged to someone else's order. When I went to follow up on this, I didn't receive a response from the company for OVER A MONTH! When I threatened to cancel my order, the hot tub finally arrived - in January. I think followed up with them to find out when they would install the hot tub, only to find out that "they didn't have installation services available in my location" - I live in Las Vegas! Really? They didn't have a problem taking my money for the installation services? So I had a hot tub sitting in my garage that they agreed to install, then backed out of. So I had to scramble to find someone to install it - including getting a crane to move it into the back yard!

Now, I'm having electrical problems with the unit. It came with a built in television and radio. Whenever I try to turn on the radio or open the television, the whole unit will short out and trip the breaker. It may or may not come back on. It was out for over 2 weeks at one point. I've been trying to contact customer support for OVER 6 MONTHS to get this fixed and have not received any response.

I will be getting a lawyer involved soon...

Same story here. Ordered and paid for tub last Oct. 2013 $4,288. Strung along until THEY cancelled my order this August. I complained to the BBB, the California Attorney Generals office and my credit card. Value point lies to all of them, tells them they are working on it, the only thing they are working on is taking more orders!!! I will also contact the FBI. By the way the address on Blithedale is a mailbox only!

Another VICTIM!

I ordered a Love Triangle Hot Tub on June 4, and the money was immediately taken from my account. I was shocked when AFTER I paid, they said we would get it Aug. 12! I complained about the long wait and was told it would almost certainly be sooner, but not later than that. I got an email confirmation shortly after purchase promising that someone would contact me a few days prior to then to confirm delivery information. They date passed with no such call, so I started calling then at all hours of the night and day, weekdays, but I kept getting a recorded message saying I was calling outside their regular business hours. I left messages but no one ever called me back. I filed a report with the BBB and the company has responded that they don't have the money, but they want to make payment arrangements. I refused that solution and demanded a full refund now. Waiting for their response. I cannot understand WHY they are still in business when their rating with the BBB is F and there is a clear record of fraud that has gone on for years now, and continues to this day.

I purchased a Love Triangle Hot Tub from Hottubsandspasdirect.com in Dec 2014 for $3,000. The receipt I got was from Value Point Distribution telling me I would receive the tub in 90 days? At 90 days was told it would be delayed another 90 days. Then it was delayed again. I cancelled the order and began trying to get my money back. No luck..These scam artists are well aware of how the Visa system works. I have filed a report with the FBI Internet Crime Complaint Center and I urge everyone else to do the same. That is the only way we are going to get any satisfaction.

Value point stole my money I ordered a hot tub 2500.00 on 5-5-2014 and was told it would be delievered on 7-3-2014 a few days before delivery was due I call to see where the shipment info was. The man on the phone said it would be another 4 weeks. I cancelled my order and recieved an email stating it was cancelled and the a refund would be sent in 20-30 business days. The refund never came when I call now they say that they are having financial difficulty and can not refund my money. I called the order number and they are still taking orders as if they have any intention of fullfilling the order. The company knows the limits credit cards have on reporting and they set the delivery date past the point where the credit card companys will refund the consumer.

I ordered a hot tub from valuepoint distribution in April and still have not received it. Similar to a previous complaint this company does not return emails or phone calls. If you call their sales number at 800-501-2068 you receive a message the number is no longer in service. If you call their customer service number at 800-501-2067 you are put on hold for about two minutes and when no one answers you are told to leave your name and number and they will call you back. I never received a call back. I was able to talk to someone on July 8th and they did send me an email that they tried to contact me by phone and email for delivery on June 30th. I checked my messages on the phone and there was none, nor did I receive an email about the delivery on June 30th. The email they sent me on July 8th stated my shipment would be shipped no later then July 30, 2014 and I would receive a tracking email. Well, here it is July 30th and I have not received any calls or emails from them. At this point I just want my money back if it does not ship out today.

I ordered a 3 person hot tub in Sept 2013 to be delivered by Nov 2103. Got an email stating it was delayed and they would offer me compensation. and moved the delivery date to Mar 2014. Got an email with pictures of "MY" hot tub and that it was in US Customs. and they was a delay until 3/31/14. and again offered me compensation. April 8 got an email that MY hot tub was missing. and that they would build me a new one and have it delivered June 15 2014. Offered more compensation. Got an email June 20th that another delay until Jult 2014 and sent me pictutes of my nive hot tub. There were the same pictures they sent me in Feb 2014.

I want to fight this with a group lawsuit, anyone else in on it??

This company is a complete fraud. I ordered the hot tub in May 2013. After delay and delay and delay, the hot tub wasn't delivered until November 2013. During that time period I heard every possible excuse from the fact that there was too many orders to the plant in China burned down to the shipping docks in California were on strike. The excuses never stopped. I was repeatedly offered discounts and refunds to satisfy the delay. They never happened. When the tub was finally delivered, it was so damaged I couldn't even turn it on. I was immediately told that they would sent out a replacement panel and other parts. It is now June 18, 2014 and still no parts, still no refund.

In later conversations where I complained about wanting the refunds, I was offered items that I had already been charged for like synthetic cabinets and salt water systems and extra foam and extended warranties, the list goes on and on. When I asked about getting those items, I was later told that they are automatically included on all of the tubs - so they admitted that they charge for upgrade items on their website that are included whether you pay for them or not. Or perhaps they are not included whether you pay for them or not. This company is a pure scam.

I have been transferred from one department to another with every foreign person that they have working for the company, all of whom have American names like Steve, Nicole, Victor, Rodger, etc. None of them speak or understand English very well at all. I have saved every email communication and required that most communications be in writing to keep a record. I plan to take them to court and file complaints with the Better Busines Bureaus and Attorney General's Offices but I am truly sorry that I did not call the credit card company and cancel the order immediately when this all started over 15 months ago.

I ordered my hot tub from Value Point Distribution in 2011 and it was suppose to take 4-6 weeks to make, but because of overwhelming orders at that time they told me it would take longer.

I was okay with that, until when I called them they wouldn't answer the phone or return my emails. They finally started returning my emails occassionally, but only after I sent them very upsetting messages, because I was upset with them for not getting back in touch with me in a timely manner.

Finally, it took them almost 2 years to get it made and sent to me. I received my hot tub at my house in January 2013.

I never dreamt at that time, that I would have as much trouble with it as I have had. It will be 1 1/2 years June 2014, since we have had our hot tub and have had 4 heaters put in it.

I have tried to get them to come from California to Iowa, to my house and fix it for me, but they still haven't done it. I am still working on this, but don't know if I will be successful or not.

They are at least answering the phone when I call now and I actually am talking to someone. I just feel like it is terrible that for as much trouble that I am having keeping heaters working in my hot tub, that they can't send someone to my house to fix it.

All I want is for my hot tub to be fixed, so I can enjoy it. I don't think that is asking to much since it was new when I got it.

Ordered a Direct Vent Gas Fireplace on 01/02/2014. Was told 3-5 week ship date. At end of 5 weeks I called and they said sorry but would not ship until 02/25/2014. Called after this and was told it would be 03/25/2014. Asked for supervisor and they said it was Crystal and gave me phone # of 415-968-6388. Have called several times and left message to call me back and no one calls.

Called on 03/27/2014 and after 10 minutes of the lady searching for a ship date it is now 04/25/2014. I am sure it will be 05/25/2014 when I call back in April. What a joke. But they sure are quick to take my three thousand dollars. What a bunch of scam artists. This is Grand Theft by no uncertain terms.

Don't order from these people. You may never get your stuff. I wish an attorney would do a class action suit and nail these jerks. I want my money back. They can keep their products that we never receive.

Ordered and paid for a hot tub in full on Dec. 07, 2013. Every month for four months I got an e-mail around the 17th. to delay shipment for another month. Got fed up with them in March and cancelled order based on the fact that they were in breach of contract multiple times for nondelivery on promised dates. They offered discounts at various times but never followed through on them.

I demanded a full refund plus the interest charges on the credit card for 4 months. The company said it would take 30-35 days to process refund due to the high volume of refunds due to order cancellations. This is a bad company. Don't deel with them.
