Exede Satellite Internet Provider is definitely a rip-off. I have only had services with them for a week, and I am already unhappy and stuck in a two-year agreement. I called to have Satellite Internet installed because there is no other high-speed available in my area. The installation was free. I inquired about the data cap and chose the highest data allowance, 30G for $150.00 a month with a speed of 12MBPS. I was told by the local dealer that he never had anyone reach that cap. The speed was never delivered, I never reached higher than 6MBPS and only had one device using the Internet. Two weeks into the month, my data cap has been reached. I called to ask about an early termination fee ONE DAY after not being pleased with the service, and was told I could pay $15/month for the remaining 23 months left on my contract ($345). I have an attorney in the family and will seek his services instead.

A couple years ago I moved to a more rural community. Wildblue/Exede/Viasat was touted as the only high speed internet service in the area. Having now used the service for about two years, I must report that I cannot recommend this company. Their data usage meter has failed to work for that past few months, there is an unresolved billing issue that they said they would take care of about three months ago, and 10 GB of data allowance is far too little for the $60 a month one pays for the service.

The last time I called to take care of the billing issue (about two to three weeks ago), the supervisor I spoke to assured me the issue would be resolved, it still isn't.

Try to find an alternative to this company before entering into a contract with them.
