SCAM!!!! I purchased a vin number report from this company before purchasing a vehicle. Only to find out the vin number was fraudulent and as a consequence was scammed out of a large sum of money. They give out counterfeit information about counterfeit vin numbers. Don't let what happen to me happen to you. Do NOT use this company - check with a local dealer and not this scam artist of a business.

On April 28, 2014 I ran a report (VINCHECKPRO receipt #45799342 ) for a VW Passat (Vin#wvwyu63b35e107304) I wanted to purchase for my wife to use along with my New Born and only child. The report came back clear and indicated no issues with the car's history. With this report in hand, I purchased the car in May 2014. I recently began having some issues with the car and only after spending time and money on the car, I noticed tell tale signs, the Passat was in fact in an accident. So on December 19, 2014 I had someone check on the Car's history (CARFAX) and it came back as a Total Loss / Salvage vehicle as of Sept2013.

At this point I decided to pay for another VINCHECKPRO report on the same day of 19DEC2014 and again it came back free of having a Junk / Salvage / Total Loss history. I then decided to run the most basic and free VIN checks provided by the National Insurance Crime Bureau (https://www.nicb.org/) and there is was, SALVAGE/Total Loss Sep2013.

I contacted VINCHECKPRO requesting a refund for the April and December Reports ($6.95 each) and to be able to file a claim for $7,900. A representative by the name of Josh S. refunded my December report fee of $6.95 only. His emails to me explained I have no recourse is filing any additional claims since they are not responsible for purchases made based on information found on their reports and that their reports do not contain complete histories on all vehicles.

I fail to see the value of VINCHECKPRO and the so called services it provides to the American People, especially in my case since the SALVAGE history of my car was easily and readily available for free (of which I was unaware in April2014). I wish to file a lawsuit against this corporation for Fraud and seek Restitution and Damages. They should be made an example of and put out of business since they are putting American lives at stake!

I will be contacting Media Outlets and my congressman in order that something be done with this irresponsible organization.

Run like hell!

I've read quite a few reports by some other company that are provided free on eBay auctions sometimes. Typically the odometer and location info has many hits from registration renewals and state-required inspections, as well as changes of ownership. My VINCheckPro report only had one hit from 2002 and one from 2013. I can't believe this car flew under the radar for that many years.

It looks like the report is padded with all sorts of worthless nonsense, basically "no report of space alien carjacking, no report of asteroid strike damage, no report of operation in Zimbabwe, no report of bubblegum chewing in back seat" etc. etc. such that I doubt very much they actually check most of this stuff because there probably is no system in place for ever reporting such things to begin with.

Besides, they claim it is a free VIN check at the start and then show you absolutely nothing until you pay. I guess "shame on me" for not running like hell as soon as they broke that first promise.

VINCHECKPRO is a complet rip off, i used them to check a vin on a vehicle i had in question to make sure there was no prior accidents etc. I payed for the service and VINCHECKPRO states to give it 5-20 min to be emailed to you. I recieved the report very quickly, i opened it and was satified that the truck i was looking at was free of accidents , etc. The next day i called the dealership and told them i wanted to proceed with the purchase, and my husband asked the dealership for the CARFAX report not knowing i already had viewed this report on VINCHECKPRO, the dealership handed me the CARFAX and to my surprise the vechile had been in an accident not ONCE but THREE times.. The dealership informed us that the owner had told them what happened and the entire rearend had to be replaced etc. NOTHING ON VINCHECKPRO showed up NOTHING ... I am discussed with this company and it is impossible to even contact them to report anything .. DONT USE THIS COMPANY, it maybe cheaper but they dont do anything, stick with CarFax atleast you get what you pay for.

MISLEADING ADVERTISING WHEN YOU PURCHASE MEMBERSHIP REGARDING VIN CHECK. THEY MAKE YOU BELIEVE THAT YOUR $6.95 MEMBERSHIP COVERS FULL DISCLOSURE OF VEHICLE INFORMATION..IN FACT THEY PROVIDE FULL DISCLOSER ON THE 1ST VIN REPORT;HOWEVER, WHEN YOU LOG IN A SECOND TIME UNDER YOUR MEMBERSHIP THINKING YOU CAN GET A FULL REPORT, THEY TELL YOU THAT YOU MUST UPGRADE IN ORDER TO GET THE INFORMATION THAT WAS PROVIDED ON THE 1ST REPORT...RIP OFF RIP OFF RIP OFF.
