My complaint is concerning purchasing a timeshare 5 months ago where we were assured that we could travel any time we desired after being there from 9am-after 5pm for what was suppose to be a 90 min thing. the hole experience has been a complete night mare. we purchased a value season bc we didnt want to travel to the mountains every year. at the time we knew nothing about timeshare terms but were told its our unit to use whenever we want as long as we book 90 days in advance. well that was a lie. our week is 1-11 which is useless considering we have school age children and we made it perfectly clear that we only travel during summer months. so i call to speak to the developer which was a waste of time the only thing we can off is for you to upgrade to a $26k unit or pay a years season upgrade fee of $500+ after we just spent $8k. im think are you serious thats outrageous we havent used our unit and actually wont be able to untill 2016. i suggested they give us what was promised or they just sell the unit which they dont do. i am so furious with this situation i am ready to drive to tn and get the closing officer and sales guy in one room bc this hole thing is fraud a big scam to get ppl in and that is unacceptable
Stayed at Westgate Resorts from 9/2/2014 to 9/8/2014 had a great stay. When I returnedhome I seen that I had a $9.99 charge on my credit card. Called them to ask what this was, they informed me it was a Wi-Fi charge. When we checked in was told if we wanted Wi-Fi it would be $9.99 per day we informed them we did not want it or needed it. (most places provide Wi-Fi these days) I called them told them we never used their service and did not even know how to use it and to refund our money. Assitant manger Cory said he would not refund the money that someone in our party had connected to it. The only people staying there was my wife and I. This place has around 800 rooms if they did this to everyone every week this would be around $8,000 per week its not hat much money just the principal of it. We were going back in December to take our family of around 15 people, which won't happen now even with a refund.
