I went to Wholesale Electronics and Furniture at 165-21 Jamaica Avenue in Jamaica Queens. I was in desperate need of a bed and kitchen set. I only had $140 dollars cash (I knew looking for anything with that kind of money was a stretch but I was desperate). The pushy sales boy told me I could finance through them and take my items home right then and there. I asked for the furniture and he told me that the furniture wasn't in the store yet since they just opened. He said I could order it. Then he showed me electronics. Which I needed also. I was shown a Ashley Furniture book by another salesman where I ordered a Larimer bed which they charged me $800 dollars for and a Theo Dining Room set with 4 chairs for $700 dollars. Long story short, my furniture wasn't delivered on time and it wasn't from Ashley Furniture it said Furniture World on the boxes. It was one delivery man who refused to set it up so I did it myself.
When I looked at the furniture I knew I'd been had. But I kept it because I needed it.
Within three months time the bottom slack from my bed ripped through the side of the bed. The bottom part of my mattress touches the floor and I can't sleep on it. I called the store only to be disrespected by the salesman but was told to bring in pictures and my receipt and they would take it from there. I went to the store and spoke to the salesman I ordered the furniture with and he told me I probably did it on purpose, he couldn't see anything wrong in the pictures, they don't do business with Furniture World and I wouldn't receive a refund. I was told to talk to the manager. Of course he wasn't there so they claim. I was told to leave my pictures and my phone number and they would have him call me to resolve the issue. He hasn't called to this day. I went to file a lawsuit and the company doesn't exist in their system. I took a picture while I was in the store of a Certificate of Authority they had on their desk and the name on the document shows Integrity Audio and Video Inc. I ran the EIN number which says they don't exist. Is this company legit or not? Maybe that's why they treat their customers like crap. Once you finance and they get a check, they don't owe you anything. You're nobody. I want a refund for my bed!
