the worst ever

they list all their vehicles as "frame off restorations" the one I bought was a complete fraud, worth less than 40% of what I paid for it, DO YOUR RESEARCH, they care not about "vintage cars" they are "used car salesman" pure and simple

Current name: world wide vintage autos , formally known as mile high city cars. These companies and sales associates advertise vehicles on eBay, Hemmings, and Classic Cars .com the person I dealt with during my ordeal is Sean Bennett .

In February 2013 I purchased a 1948 Chevy pickup from sales associate Sean Bennett and the former mile high city car store this truck was advertised on ebay as absolutely beautiful newer restorationflawless etc. etc. including the motor , the compliments on this advertisement made the truck sound like something I was looking for. I purchased the truck for $16,500 plus $ 1,300 .00 for transport when finalizing the financial end of this deal Mr Bennett said all paper work would be handeled through pammi motors, this was a dealership used idle"mile high city cars" used for licensing reasons . I thought it was a little odd but Sean Bennett assured me this is how they did buisness .

I purchased the truck and when it arrived and when the hauler tried to start the truck it would not start, we had to push it off the hauler. As it was winter time I pushed the truck into my garage to look it over and inspect things . Knowing we do not live in a perfect world I knew from the beginning I woul probably have spend some additional monies on the truck , as nothing is ever what it appears to be. What I didn't expect was this advertised " rust free" truck to be spot painted to cover rust, misaligned hood and doors , interior head panel falling off, widow and door handel stripped and not working and spray paint half sprayed in the door jambs.

Actually that would have been fine if I didn't have to replace the wiring , starter, upper rockers ,drive shaft , universal to drive shaft , rear end gears , and currently having a engine built as the truck would never stay running according to my mechanic the engine was Not worth repairing . So 1 1/2 year later and a additional $8,000.00 dollars in repairs, above the $16,500.00 I spent on the truck I have yet to drive this vehicle ! Or get a return phone call from Sean Bennett

I have talked other anopress who have fallen victim to world wide vintage autos and pammi motors and the former milehighcitycarstore , all of which were scammed in the same manner . The tactics and threats of law suits to these other people were were the same until the accusers were threatened into submission . I welcome such tactics. Enough of these crooks stealing a persons hard earned money. And in the end what goes around..

I purchased a vehicle from these crooks, and they flat out lied about its condition. The vehicle was a customized jeep and was stated to be professionally done. It was far from what was stated. The brake lights were said to be working, there was a short in the wiring for the left brake light. The tail lights were said to be working, they worked with the running lights only not with the headlights.

The off road lights were not even wired. The gas line had a leak on top of the gas tank. The engine had an antifreeze leak. The front differential was leaking. The engine also has a leak from the rear main seal.

The ad also stated that the vehicle had new two-stage paint, which is a joke. The body work and paint look like they were done by a child. There isn't a straight body panel on the jeep and the paint looks like a rattle can job, not to mention all the overspray on everything.

Also, the windshield wipers were stated to be working, but there weren't even any wiper arms or blades. The last thing was that the vehicle would not even start when the transporter delivered it to me, I had to put a new battery in it to be able to drive it.

I have over $350.00 in parts to repair the minor things so far, not to mention over 40 hours of my labor, and this has not even touched on paint and body issues.

World Wide Vintage Auto claimed the vehicle was "professionally built" and "fires right up, drives incredible and shows very well", besides stating everything meantioned above. They also said twice in the ad that it was new paint on the vehicle.

Their offer to correct these issues was to give me $500.00 for everyyhing if I would sign an agreement not to give them any bad reports or tell anyone. I told them it was worth that much to me to let everyone I could how bad they screw people over, so they could take their $500.00 and shove it.

Serious Electrical Issues Not Disclosed

I recently, only a few days ago, purchased a 1985 Chevrolet diesel pickup truck from Worldwide Vintage Autos. Their website showed a video of the pickup truck running. I have never before purchased a vehicle sight-unseen and knew I was taking a chance based on some negative reviews. But, salesman Ryan Corrick assured me the truck was in basically good condition. When the truck arrived, both of the inexpensive Walmart batteries were not only very old, they were both completely dead and the truck had to be jump started by the transporter. A quick visual inspection of the engine compartment revealed that the truck had been completely rewired by the previous owner. After getting the truck home, I tested the batteries to find they were completely discharged although both had water in them. I hooked up the first battery to an 8 amp slow charger and it took about four hours to charge. After that, I hooked up the second battery and it never fully charged after about five hours; in fact, the battery got so hot it could not be touched. After an hour or so, both batteries were once again completely discharged and the truck would not even turn over. The next day, I jumped started the truck and took it to a mechanic who specializes in electrical issues and he informs me that the vehicle has been incorrectly wired, there is a short in the system which could potentially melt wires and cause a fire. He says he can repair it, but it could take days to trace the short and replace the wiring and any other damaged parts because the vehicle has been completely rewired. The vehicle was downstairs under my house when it was on the charger and had it caught fire, it could have burned the house down, placing my family's lives in danger. Worldwide Vintage Autos and Ryan Corrick NEVER disclosed this electrical issue even though I had communicated with them numerous times and specifically asked about the electrical system. They obviously knew of this dangerous defect and never disclosed it. Because of this, I can not recommend buying a vehicle from them; they are not only dishonest, they have put the lives of my family in danger. They are beyond reprehensible and should be shut down.
