Bad service

The sales person (Maggie) very little of what she said was true and important facts were omitted. Maggie said they cannot come to my one bedroom apartment to give an estimate, but promised to give a very solid quote based on her experience and the photos I sent to her. Once I made the down payment, I never dealt with Maggie again. She did not respond to calls or e-mail messages. Although Maggie pressured me hard to make a down payment and commit quickly so that my preferred pick-up date would be reserved, the company called to bump my move date more than a week in advance -- Within minutes of arriving at my apartment, the lead informed me I would definitely be over the estimate. In fact, the charge was $995.10 over the estimate and this was not about me was identified to Maggie or my furniture being of a larger than normal scale. At that point it became apparent my conversation with Maggie had zero to do with the estimate and that based on the movers’ behavior, delivering this sort of sobering news happens pretty routinely. The movers needed to be watched to make sure things were packed carefully. none of the information -- it's like my conversations with Maggie never happened. When I then called and dealt with Nicky who dickered with me over a possible discount and finally offered to refund approximately 1/4th of the overcharge amount if I signed an agreement that absolved the company of all possible liability. I'll repeat -- I would have to have signed an agreement that absolved them of all liability BEFORE the delivery and, by the way, agreeing to keep the matter confidential. I refused. By this time, I was starting to fear I would never see my things again. I pressed for a delivery or at least a loading date and was told I would be informed once the stuff was actually loaded (so we'll tell you once it actually happens sort of response). At this point, I checked their web site and discovered another fact that was not part of Maggie's sales pitch -- the company reserves a very wide period of time for actual delivery. In fact my belongings were loaded a week after the pickup and arrived on the other coast late in the evening. I was worried through this entire process because another thing this company does differently is it does not provide an inventory of numbered items with description -- like other companies do. So, in short, the move cost approximately one thousand dollars more than the price quoted and involved very significant stress and aggravation. I've moved many times and twice previously across the country and this was the worst experience I've ever had.

This is by far the worse moving experience I have ever encountered. This will be my second major move across country. I wish I would have gone with the company that did my first move but this is what I get for trying to cut corners. First of the sales person was very nice to me in the beginning in order to get my business but once it came down to the actual service, things got really bad. The initial quote I was given doubled once they had my stuff although I didnt take up double the space in their truck. At this point my only option was to have them unload my stuff which I couldnt do so I had no choice but to pay double what I was quoted. There were major damages once they delivered my stuff, one of my tvs was cracked, my expensive dresser had a dent, my expensive mirror was broken completely and my head board was damaged hence they couldnt assemble it. Also they charged me an extra $100 upon arrival because my apt was on the 3rd fl. Ridiculous! Just stay away from this company all together. Their service is really bad and they do not care once you are locked in. At this point I am filing a claim with their insurance so I will come back with a review once I am done dealing with their claims department.

Bad service

same as other bad online reviews, all good are tacked by them! Movers arrived late, price doubled after they load into the truck, items broken and delivery late. Don't use.
