There are so many things wrong with this "company" that I don't even know where to begin. This place should be shut down. It is the closest thing to a cult (an illegal one at that) I have ever come into contact with.

To start with, please be aware that this place functions under SEVERAL different names. Yorkston Oakmont is the one I got roped into, but they recently changed it to Yorkston Oakmont and Carrera Concepts.

They basically got caught and had to change things up. What couldn't recruit any sales clowns fools?

The entire process, to anyone with any experience in the professional world whatsoever, should seem a little off. I checked out the website countless times and still had no clue whatsoever what exactly the company did. They use lots of vague language and claim to be a "marketing firm" that serves Fortune 500 companies and does all these wonderful things. However, you'll notice that every aspect of the website seems to be addressing potential applicants, not the so-called Fortune 500 companies they claim to serve. Another red flag. What they fail to realize is that no matter how many times they change their name it will catch up to them quick and funny I get the same phone call after wards as well. I just hung up on them this time Not going through this again.

To anyone considering applying: PLEASE take this warning. If you have been a victim of this company, SPEAK UP and let people know what this place is all about. You won't get ANY marketing or advertising experience. You will knock on doors, work twelve hour days, and then move up where your job is to lure in people like myself and try to brainwash them too. DON'T let them get away with it.

This report is the absolute truth and just because "Madison" is in denial about being pimped out going door to door on the streets of Houston. UGK Advertising should not misrepresent the company culture and lie to others. However, seeing how Madison is not even intelligent enough herself and used her word "loose" out of context we'll say it's safe to say that that's the caliber of people y'all deem fit to work with, "less educated."

The three most important questions to ask when you call are as followed:

1. Is this door to door?

2. Is this 100% commission?

3. Are there benefits?

They may even lie to your face at that point.

Everyone who works there will lie to your face anyway about a "bigger picture" and how this is the best opportunity for "everyone." My best advice that I can give you is seriously don't waste your time. Although, everyone is nice and seems down to earth and cool. It is all just a facade to lure more people in the door. It is a very sick cycle of unfortunate brainwashing for those who work there. Hey afterall if you tell yourself something over and over again you'll believe it's the truth yourself.

How long now before you change your compnay's name again?????

Yorkston Oakmont inHouston, TX.

Is a Marketing firm whose employees go door to door they are being paid a 100% commission with no benefits. If you ask me it's a waste of time and not something anyone should do anymore anyway. The world is a crazy place and it's not safe out there. If you work here please be safe and protect yourself with mace.

I know not everyone is satisfied or happy with results so bad or negative opinions should be taken with a grain of salt. However, this review was dead on.

First of all, if you call back the "H.R." number, the mailbox is full. Interesting right? Second of all if you go to their website, you'll see no information about the company is present at all. There is nothing about what they do or contacting them, etc. If you click on any of the items, it takes you back to the home page. Shady right?

I decided to sit it out and give it a chance, even though the office looks like something that is a scam. It is home to 2 "companies," and looks like someone just set it up to have an office; although the company is supposedly well established.

The supposed president flashes around that he works with big companies doing marketing campaigns for them etc. Interesting right? But I smelled pyramid scam and brain washing.

Your "second interview" consists of shadowing a more senior employee. The concept is great. However, you can tell from the first few seconds of speaking with them that they have been cult washed into this idea that although they are working for commission and basically doing a sales job falsley advertised as a marketing job that they are working on being promoted from the bottom up. I worked for American Honda, which used the same concept. That concept worked well for them without brain washing.

When asked directly, "do you work off commission?" The employee answered, " I don't feel comfortable answering that question. You should ask the president." Hmm.. A trusted and proven company should have no shame in answering any questions honeslty and truthfully when asked. And while being interviewd by the proven employee I was asked to think like a manager and tell them why working off commission is better than salary or hourly pay... Interesting train of thought, right?

The "marketing campaign" I was shown was for AT & T just like the other review. The campaign consisted of classic door to door sales techniques for pushing customers into purchasing uverse from AT & T. A list was provided with preapproved or customers eligible for AT & T U verse but currently not using it. Sales techniques like closing and pushing, and give problems then solutions and active listening, and don't leave any silence, earn their trust were thrown out in front of me. And the experienced employee I was shadowing blantantly kept throwing out tips on how to close deals, earn people's trust, and when I asked why we were soliciting people who had no soliciting signs on their doors, she told me we're not because we aren't allowed to make people sign contracts or taking any money. That kind of answer may work on inexperienced people. I pointed out to the experienced employee that this is not marketing but sales. They had no answer except what seemed to be memorized answers to these kinds of questions. hm....

When they did manage to get someone to agree to an installation, even though it wasn't sales just marketing, when they called AT & T and were asked what company they worked for the employee did not answer Yorkston Oakmont but South Texas Credit... very interesting for a firm that is supposedly reputable and welll established, right?

Stay clear of these ads and interviews. Don't waste your time going because the job is straight commission sales not marketing. Also beware that they only want desparate people who can start immediately. I came across as disinterested with a lot of other job offers... I wasn't offered a third interview... interesting ...right?

Worst company ever!!!

Antoine bell raped me, when I started and then I quite. When I contacted him about being pregnant he told me look what happened to the young lady that used to work for him and had his baby. This company is a cult for men that are lazy, lack integrity and looking to prey on young women

Do Not Waste Your Time

I worked here for a couple of weeks. Huge mistake, but thankful I opened my eyes. This "company", along with all of their other companies across the country, and over seas thrive off of young people who do not know better. Just because they dress in suits doesn't mean it's a reputable job, please stay away. I had no idea how brain-washed I was until I got out. They really make you BELIEVE all of the bullshit every single day. You would probably make more money working at mcdonalds and for half of the time you spend at this job. I feel so bad for the people that are still stuck there eating everything up about how good this opportunity is. IF YOU'RE READING THIS YOURE OBVIOUSLY ALREADY DOUBTFUL ABOUT THE CONCEPT OF HOW IT WORKS AND THAT ALONE SHOULD SAY ENOUGH. THEY WILL TELL YOU ALL OF THESE PEOPLE INCLUDING MYSELF THAT ARE WRITTING REVIEWS ARE JUST PEOPLE WHO DIDNT WANT IT BAD ENOUGH, OR ARE MAD BECAUSE THEY COULDNT MAKE IT. PLEASE WAKE UP. EARN YOUR MONEY ANOTHER WAY. WHAT YOU MAKE HERE WOULD PROBABLY BE THE EQUIVALENCE TO $9,000 A YEAR....A YEAR.....I'M NOT EXAGERATING. DONT DO IT.

Not everyone that works there is a bad person out to get you by the way, some really BELIEVE in this "program", I pray that one day in the very near future they understand, and are guided into a healthier enviornment.

Poisonous Company

Just working there will taint someone's reputation because you were scammed. Don't be fooled by the little con artists who lure in unsuspecting new hires, telling them that they need to start immediately and quit their job without a two weeks notice. These guys will harm your job reputation and make you broker than a joke while you wonder where your money is. SCAM.
