I received a phone call approximately 2 years ago from a company called "Your Publishing Group" offering to advertise my company in their newsletter. My business is to provide tax and bookkeeping services. They had contacted me on or about February 2012. I had spoken to an agent from "your publishing group" inquiring what the cost is, what is their customer base etc. I explained I would not be interested in their offer and to contact me after tax season. I took some time off due to illness and when I returned to my office to review my emails, I found an email from Chad Menard showing my advertisement in their newsletter as a "rough draft". The email indicated if I did not reply in one day, that they would except this as an agreement / contract. Previously I had refused phone calls from this company because of their high pressure tactics. I recently went for a small loan to help pay for my mothers funeral, only to find Vangaurd Credit Collections on my credit report. Collecting for Your publishing group. I was never contacted by this company. I made a complaint to the competition bureau and they did not help me.
