My engine needed rebuilt on my 2001 camaro v6 so i was quoted a high price for what the owner called a "premium long block". This means the motor is fully rebulit and put on a workbench and tested before getting it back. I paid for the build on 2/20/2015 and was told it would be done in about 2 weeks. After 2 months of waiting and lots of lies from the owner the motor was complete. The engine was installed by the mechanic which is located just across the street and only took a day or two. When i arrived to pick up the car it was blowing heavy white smoke and causing a check engine light (random misfire). In any case due to poor machine shop work and not testing the engine like i paid extra for, the motor needed to be pulled. This only took a couple days and it was back in the hands of the machine shop. That was nearly 3 months ago and a total of 5 months without a car. Just imagine your car sitting in a repair shop for 5 months. I paid $1500 dollars and suffered a loss of 5 months with no vehicle. I will file a claim with the local county for refund of the funds paid. I am also sorry to hear of other customers this has happened to at this same A1 Engine rebuilders in Arlington Texas
