Abel security review

I've worked for Abel and I can say the same things. John muise is a clown and he runs the company like a circus. This will say it all, he cheats on his wife, girlfriends and all other women in his life. He constantly betrays his family, so why would he have any loyalty, respect, or appreciation for his employees? John Muise is one of the worst people I've ever met in my entire life. I've heard him say he likes Hispanic women because they will 'put up' with his BS and not leave him for cheating... This man exploits everyone in his life. Prepare for the worst with Abel security and concierge. The other review posted in 6/2014 is very detailed and honest as well

There has been a lot of negligence, mistreatment and false promises to his employees that has occured by john muise the owner of Abel security corporations at woburn, ma. If you are a prospective employee of this company or are interested in becoming a part of this abusive owner and settle for a shoe-string employer and want low wages (9.00 per hour)than I urge you, to find a different company preferably a security company that will have some structure and organization to it; that is unless your a glutton for punishment.

The owner, john muise, runs a one man show of Abel Security in which he will lie and do whatever it takes to fill the positions because the turnover for employees is so high and the pay is so low that he does not care who or whom fills it, in fact, he just wants a warm body rather than an actual officer/employee. It's too bad, that he hired someone who would no longer put up with his shenanigans any longer and will actually speak up about it. I speak on behalf of most of the employees who has worked for this company, and most who are working for him either are suffering from low morale or have done the sane thing which was quit.

There are quite a few reasons as to why this company's turnover rate to retention ratio is so high. (1.) Negligence from the company and owner itself. The owner, does not have any vested interest in employee support, in fact, many times he won't ever pick up the phone or blow you off via text messaging. If he answers; get ready for a sarcastic and condescending response by him when it comes to your schedule, site issues, and payroll. Nothing will ever be his fault, and if it is hardly a sincere apology, rather he will find a way to blame it all on you. There's been instances in the past, whereby an employee was injured on the job and was let go and the owner refused to give any workman's compensation for injury on the job.

(2.) Mistreatment, there is absolutely no respect that is given by the owner, but expects his employees to be on his beck and call for everything, nothing that you do as an employee is actually good and if it is-He will take the glory for it. (3.) False advertisement for prospective employees. The owner will not tell you the extent of the dangers that you will be encountering for doing your job at some of these sites that he will most likely have you working. He will say there are only a few 'bad' apples at a facility, and using psychological tactics is all that's required to mitigate offenders is laughable at best. The truth is, there are mentally unstable individuals that live in some of these sites he has you work in, and intervening without adequate defense and weapon training puts you the employee at risk the most. He does not tell you that most of his contracted sites are of low income, section 8 housing origins. What's worse is, most officers that he hires are not properly trained or warned of the volatile dangers that can happen at some of these sites.

There were instances in the past in which employees were thrown down stairwells and another was being chased by teenagers into the security office which in turn they broke into. All this has happened because the owner refused to pay more for armed guards/ proper training and tell his prospective employees the truth about some of these sites. Did i tell you, that you will most likely be on your own? That's correct when something happens, you will be left to fend for yourself without adequate back up, there is no road supervisor within the vicinity to look out for you, since he was fired for trying to help john by giving him advice on how to manage his sites better. Good move, bro.

I am asking future prospective employees, to do your research on security companies, and understand that Abel security and the owner do not care about your health, and mental well being. This company does not offer holiday pay and the benefits are next to nonexistent. Do you really want to put yourself at risk at some of these sites with a callous and unethical boss all for 9.00 an hour? If someone had actually told me the truth about the owner and how juvenile his behavior is towards his employees, than i would of never even step foot in his office at all. He only cares about himself, and his contracted sites, you are just another body that he can replace anytime because there are people who actually tolerate his totalitarian behavior and mind games. The reason why many like me who have worked for abel security took this job was because we believed this company, since it is a lot smaller than a lot of the security companies in massachusetts, would actually be fair and listen; but is not the case.

I'm ready for his rebuttal, and the owner's reply will most likely be " i was not prepared to work hard in a fast pace environment as a public safety officer, not willing to improve the quality of the local residents site by being proactive...", or that 'i was let go, and disgruntled'; that is further from the truth because he does not care about the quality of his own prospective or current employees, rather he just cares about throwing someone into these sites as long as they have a warm pulse. If you weren't so cheap and actually cared about your employees than your turnover ratio wouldn't be so high. The real reason as to why your officers leave is not because of them, but it's because of you.
