ADT Authorized Premier Provider Reviews

Was referred to ADT through my Dish/Frontier Internet Service. When they connected me an appointment was made for an "ADT dealer" to come to my home for a FREE instulation of a monitored security system. The representative came, gave me his sales pitch and charged me over $500 for the "system I need". While he was there I asked him what happens if I move as I was anticipating selling my house and moving in a couple months. That representative told me I just needed to call ADT and they would move my service to the new residence at no cost.

When I moved I called ADT to have the service moved and reconnected at the new residence. ADT connected me with Linda Sokol, an authorized ADT dealer, who emailed me a "quote" for the transfer. Another over $500!!! I told her I was told it would not cost me anthing and she said I was given that information in error. Linda Sokol then told me that if the new owners of my previous house had ADT connected through her that my "contract" would be voided and I would owe nothing. So I arranged the meeting and a contract was signed between the new owers and Linda Sokol. I then started receiving phone calls from ADT Protect Your Home for collection of $1100 for early termination of said contract. I told them what Linda Sokol had told me and they said she was wrong. There were then SEVERAL phone calls, emails and text messages from Linda Sokol, ADT authorized dealer at the corporate office continueing to tell me I would owe nothing and she would "take care of it" and get it straightened out.

The phone calls from ADT Protect Your Home called me DAILY Monday through Saturday for over 2 months reqesting I pay early cancelation fees. NEVER have I received a written statement or bill. I kept contacting Linda Sokol and either she didn't call me back or she would send me a message stating she was "working on it" and for me to "have patience".

After 3 months I received a letter from an attorney office stating the account had been submitted to the collection agency and requested payment. I again contacted ADT Protect Your Home and after talking with several people was referred to the attorney office.

I have paid that bill to keep my credit clear which I worked darn hard to get over the years. I would NOT recommend ADT Protect Your Home or ADT services to anyone!!!!! Turns out they are actually 2 separate companies working together as 1 company but do not honor their word. They will initially tell you they are one company until there is a problem then each wants to blame the other. STAY AWAY from them unless you have lots of money to throw away.
