I called to cancel my service because of a move and they told me it was a $450 contract cancellation feel. I asked why they never told me at the beginning and he said it is in the contract. When I said, "Don't you think they should have told me that when I signed up?", he replied, "Well if a sale person was to say that he would risk loosing the sale and they are paid on commission"!!

I was absolutely mind boggled!!

Purchased a house, got an offer for Home security. Onme of the things that were offered was a 100.00 gift card.After 2 month on waiting on the rebate form, read the certificate to fill out from a company called Mpell. it stated that in order for us to get the $100.00 gift card, we have to send a $4.95 check or money order for shipping and processing.

I'm so dissapointed with ADT Security Services, at first they sent a sales representative who lied to me in the length of contract, make sure to read all the contract before you sign on it, otherwise, if you cancel it before it due date they will charge you 75% of the total cost of whatever time left on the contract.

Second, Their cameras are very expensive 4 for $2700.00 + taxes and poor qualities, NOT HD and does not help if investigation arises. You can't see faces or license plate number or any of this. Plus they charge an arm and leg monitoring the system.

Third, The cameras are malfunctioning frequently and have to call ADT technician to come out. I called and asked for service because my indoor cameras and the "Pulse" system is not working, they said they will send a technician between the hours 8:00 am to 12:00 PM or 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. When I asked for 6:00 PM because I have to go to work, they said no we can't accomodate you for this time we work only from 8:00 am to 5:00 PM. I asked for Saturday or Sunday they said no, they don't work on the weekends. I talked to Customer Escalation Dept. in Colorado and they didn't do a thing. They said the same and wanting to charge me for services I'm not getting. It's a joke!

The company will not accept my cancellation fax sent within the 3 days deadline claiming that it was never found by their representative. Tried calling, emailing and I even sent them a scan of the cancellation notice. They keep changing the story and wants me to keep producing more proof.

The company advertise one thing on a letter that I received but when the come to my home they installed something else and charged something else. Note that they used my social security provided over the phone and come to my house to explain the product. I was in vacation. The sales person switched the product making some excuses that he needed to put on all the windows and doors since the system and deal was only meant for the front door. He induced my wife in signing under my name and my social security which she is NOT authorized to do it but was told that was alright!

I did email and fax a request within 3 days to cancel everything but they claim not receiving it. They also promised me 100 USD on the deal that I never saw it. The sale person was so aggressive that promised me an additional 100 USD if I let him come show me the product. I also did not see it. Bottom line is that the product shuts off by itself so I'm not getting what they "think" I sign up for it. I requested to cancel over the phone 3 times and even talked to a supervisor. They finally checked with accountant and said that was over 1000 USD to cancel and that they could not do it until the amount was paid off... They refused to cancel. I request compensation for my trouble and an immediate cancellation of this unsolicited/unauthorized "contract" which the sales person inform my wife she could sign my name. Arent they supposed to be looking out who they speak with? Sucurity? I like an supervisor to contact me informing that it's canceled and compensation! Please help.

Advertised - webiste - Deals- security - free installation $24.99

When service salesman came to my daugther's college apartment - additioanal charge if don't have telephone land line - made the price more like $40

Then additional charge for windows another $80, but then after get first bill it is even more than discussed. $58

Install less than week not installed correctly, called about overbilling - told you only have 3 days to cancel - that is after you sign the contract - It took several weeks to install.

The contact didn't have any pricing on it - it was all verbal.

Find a company that cares about their customers and providing service - They do not.

I had ADT security installed in my home in Arkansas. My DSL would stop working with no explanation. I would call my DSL provider, they would come out, this went on several months. DSL would work for awhile then stop. FInally DSL traced things to my ADT security system. I called ADT several times, they would send out a Technician, who would tell me it is my DSL. FINALLY I had to cancel the ADT because I must have DSL for my business work. ADT charged me without my permission $444.30 as an early cancellation fee.

I keep calling but they say the only way to get a refund is write the corp. office which I have done twice, no answer at all.

it is shameful for a big company like ADT to keep someone's money for something that will not work!

During a break in at my home, ADT called a contact on my list, the contact informed them that she didn't know what was going on and she doesn't live at the residence. The agent said I called the wrong number and sounded confused but never called the police. Of course I want to to terminate my service for them not protecting home, they are charging me 1200!!! No apology basically saying my contact told them not to call the police which is lie. They record their conversations and won't let me hear the recording. This is ridiculous. If I didn't call the police I don't know what would have happened. They aren't taking responsibility for anything. Any good company would just let a customer go after an incident like this. They only care about money!!!

Did not receive services signed for. House left unsecure...paid for 18 months, called several times, door(s) left unsecure and no sign in yard for over a year. Would do nothing while paying them $60.00 per month for approx. 18 months. Decided to stop paying. They filed with a credit company. My husband is a 100% disabled veteran and I am his care giver.

I have been contacting ADT for over 5 months to stop receiving calls and mail from them.

They refuse to discontinue mailings and phone even after continued contact.

I have spoken (or tried to) over 15 people, 6 today, 2 who hung up on me, in an attempt to get them to STOP sending me mail and calling me.

They refuse.

This is nothing but harassment.
