We signed our company up with Agero back in November 2013. Since then they have been always been ajusting our invoices that we sent in. My operations manager has called them back in Decemeber and they told her to bill it a different way. Even by doing it a different way there was no change.

I decide to go thru all the claims we put in and turn out over 1500.00 worth of claims were adjusted below our contract agreement and climbing. I called the manager that covers our area, and left a message I still have yet got a call back. I called his manager and left a message and didnt get a call back. Finally I started to ask around to other companies that are service providers for Agero in our area and they to have notice the same problem. They still have not gotten back to them. They said they cut back on doing there calls due to not fully paying the contract agreed price.

So due to not getting a responce back from them, I have decided like the other companies to only tow within my 5 mile radius. I also stopped any winching calls that come in because our contract states 60.00 for winch and they are only paying $30.00. Road service they are to pay out going miles, i have yet to see that yet. Out going miles for towing is also not being paid. Loaded miles are adjusted that should not be adjusted. Accident calls are also not being paid as agreed nor is storage.

If there are any other towing companies out there having the same problem please respond to this. Something has to be done about this. There are many of you out there losing money and dont even know it unless you check your invoicing closely.

Agero was the insurance provider for a claim against a tow truck company who damaged my vehicle during a routine tow. The claim transaction was handled per the instructions provided by Agero employees. My vehicle claim was approved and paid for, but Agero refuses to reimburse me for the entire rental car charges I incurred while my vehicle was being repaired.

I notified the company during every conversation and email correspondence that I was renting a vehicle and I was informed to keep receipts and file a claim for reimbursement. Management will not return my phone calls or respond to emails. Agero owes me $374.20 in rental fees incurred while my vehicle was being repaired.

Agero Needs To Be Sued Until There Out Of Business.

Agero has most insurance companies contracts, and they talk a good game when they need a car picked up.

They will offer anything.

The problem is when the job is done and you need to get paid.

That when you get all the we can't paid for those services and there reason why, but they won't say any of that when they need the job done.

Agero is the king of this problem but NATIONWIDE/PROGRESSIVE/LIBERTY MUTUAL/SAFECO/STATE FARM/USAA/AND MAJOR CAR DEALERSHIPS ETC.

Are also at FAULT because they know Agero treats there service provider very bad.

But because there not first inline the be pointed at as bad service it can always be shown as Agero and not them.

The Insurance companies know this and I think EVERYBODY THAT IS A SERVICE PROVIDER SHOULD WRITE ON BLOGS OR ANYWHERE THEY CAN ONLINE LETTING THE WORLD KNOW THE BAD WAY

NATIONWIDE/PROGRESSIVE/LIBERTY MUTUAL/SAFECO/STATE FARM/USAA/AND MAJOR CAR DEALERSHIPS ETC.

ARE TURNING A BLIND EYE TO THE BAD WAY THE SERVICE PRIVDER ARE TREATED, AND WHY CUSTOMER ARE LEFT ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD SO LONG OR WHY IT TAKES SO LONG FOR CUSTOMER VEHICLES TO BE PICKED UP FROM INPOUND YARD TO BE TAKEN TO BODY SHOPS.

The part that doesn't make any NATIONWIDE/PROGRESSIVE/LIBERTY MUTUAL/SAFECO/STATE FARM/USAA/AND MAJOR CAR DEALERSHIPS ETC.

Are paying more money having vehicle stuck at impound yards in storage and customers that are feed up and get a tow truck on there own.

And then there getting the full price bill.

There hurting there own button line.

If your a insurance company that uses Agero you really need to stop sitting in a office talking a lot of BS about towing companies complains and not getting on top of Agero.

THIS IS A MAJOR PROBLEM ON BOTH ENDS.

One thing that is VERY VERY VERY important is if a service provides PO gets put in AUDIT one week max before the problem is fixed.

NOT 30 TO 120 DAYS this is a real number, how do you expect a business to get going when there not being PAID.

Fixing the problem with Agero will get your vehicle picked up faster, in which saves you money and keeps your customer more happy.

The CEO'S OF NATIONWIDE/PROGRESSIVE/LIBERTY MUTUAL/SAFECO/STATE FARM/USAA/AND MAJOR CAR DEALERSHIPS ETC.

NEED TO WAKE UP AND INPROVE YOUR INSURANCE COMPAINIES SERVICE IN THE SAME FORMAT I SEE YOUR COMMERICALS ON TV AT NIGHT.

Agero will listen to you more than it would a upset service provider.

Agero scam

i just started towing for Agero like you stated as well i submitted over 45 invoices and only got paid on the smaller roadside services like towing within 5 miles and tire change and jump start, but the bigger invoices were put aside and they have been adjusted as well.

see the problem i see is the fuel that is being used to make these trips and tows that's coming out of our pockets this really frustrating.

tow truck damaged my vehicle and Agero will not hold them resposible

while attempting to load my vehicle the service provider pulled the bumper out. They have admitted to it and repaired it but did a poor job, we would not sign off on the bill because the work was sub-standard. The hurtful thing is that USAA insurance should have stepped in since they contracted with this agency but they left us hanging.

Agero is the worst

Agero "roadside assistance" sucks!!! I called them at 10 am because I needed them to send someone to charge my car battery and I waited until 11:30. I got a call from the company they were sending out, and it turns out that Agero gave them the address to a town 7 hours away from where I live!!! After I called Agero again and told them they got my address wrong, they said they would send someone else "as soon as possible." I called them 30 minutes ago and still no text that they are even sending someone out or an ETA. I HAVE PLACES TO BE!!!!

At 6:32 am I placed a call to Nationwide's claim department. I was told I would be transferred to Agero. My pulse increased as i knew I would be in for a day of b.s. due to past experiences. When I spoke with the representaive, I specifically requested she send a tow truck with battery charging capabilities because I have somewhere to be. Of course when the man showed up, there was no tow truck in sight. I immediately got irritated. The car did not start and would indeed require a tow. The call for a tow went in at 8:42 am. It is now 12:48 pm and they are still saying 15 ETA. Nationwide is a very popular company. It is hard to believe they are conducting business with this company. It is a joke. I feel disrespected that time after time, they sell you this dream of punctuality that never happens. Millions of consumers are tricked into believing the statement of 'nationwide being on your side', but they truly are not.

I reapplied for job at Agero and they denied me. When I asked why they said i had abondoned work after 2 weeks. Now I remember plain as day telling supervisor i was quitting right in front of the floor. Thats not the funny part. I actually worked their for 3 months during the summer and was taking VTO or verified time off when call flow dropped. I even told the name of the supervisor I told i was leaving to the recruiter and she just said ya I know him. I have no clue what is going on I assure you I am not lying. If anyone plans on leaving a call center job, I suggest getting written documention stating you notified them. I have worked else where and seen first hand how call centers marginalize people. As team lead at another call center i was apart of the clique and watch people get sobotaged that were not liked. Basically these people were qualified to lead a team but noone wanted them to so they would "recomend' not be moved up. In this day and age all our files are open to even the amateur hacker. I don't want to scare people but this very strange to me. I don't think of myself as a target but i can assure you that it is not implausible to think some hacker fooling around could easily just change info on stored file.

DO NOT BECOME A PROVIDER FOR AGERO

I am in the same boat, they owe me over $1000, I would recommend that If you own a towing company, stay clear of these scum bags, they do not pay service providers !!!!

Still have not goten paid for this insurance company we have mailed in all of our invocies and still have not gotten paid we have gotten an email from them telling us that now we have to email all of the invoces witch we dont have becasue we mailed all of them to agero and they told us that it would take months before we get paid beacuse agero dont get to there invoices right away us less through email and i told the lady who works for the billing department that it cant be true because they maild one back to us do to the paper work was not right we did alot of towing winch outs service calls and impounds for them and still no check Over $ 500.00 worth of work this is not good busness when all of the other companies pay on time but not agero i just feel bad because everyone who has Emergency roadside service we cant help them because Agero is not willing to pay the Tow truck compines on time or we do the work and still dont get paid witch is not fair to the customers or us tow truck compines. Something has to be done

its not right Agero needs to step up and pay. How would u feel if you called your insureance company for a tow truck in freezing cold to the point where you could die to come and help and you pay the insurace company exrta money to have road side service and a tow truck does not show up or if they do show up you have to pay for the tow bill out of your own pocket and trust me not everyone has money on them so your car goes to impound and you still on the side of the road trying to find a way to get home because the driver of the tow truck will not let you ride in his truck. This will happen. is Agero trying to get sued or do all Tow truck companys who have Contracts have to start repossess every car we have towed for this company just to get paid.

We are getting ready to file a theft of service law suit against agero aka cross country. Agero has a problem of ripping off service providers. Please contact us through email so we can make this giant company pay and bring them down. Your rates are constantly being ajusted and full payment is never made. Keep all your stubs from them and your invoices. We are currently going to be seeking over 7000.00 in unpaid claims just for us alone. You can contact me at and the more service providers the bigger the law suit. I rather let the lawyers get the awarded money and watch the company get knocked down to there size for not paying there invoices as promised.

I was called by Agero in June to help with a customer who was locked out of their car. I am not one of their service providers. They called me because they didn't have anyone else to call. I told the caller what my charge was. They asked me to run the service call, and said I would submit the ticket to get paid. I was with the customer 15 minutes after we hung up. I opened their car. Collected the information for the ticket, and submitted it through their online portal. After four months, I still haven't been paid or heard from them.

These people don't pay their bills. I won't help them again.

Wow... How does Agero stay in business and CON other companies into using it??

We needed to use Agero tonight, and they were one of the lousiest companies we've ever dealt with. We had to wait for more than 2 hours to get roadside assistance with our vehicle. If I were a betting woman, I would bet that MOST of their customers have similar experiences based on the response of their phone assistants. Where is the boss of this company; clearly he doesn't care and neither do his managers?! How can major car companies be so foolish to hire a company like this to supposedly provide roadside assistance? Please do yourself a favor and don't ever sign up for a program with Agero since you will be as angry and disappointed as we are.

Agero constantly fails to pay our contracted rates for towing, winching, enroute, storage, equipment and labor.

This company has a known history for not paying on claims in full or at all. We consistently lose 5-10K in revenue per year and we are not even a primary provider.

Contacting their claims department is useless because they will just gve you the run around for months untill they reach their contrated "we are not obligated to pay past 120 days" and then say that its too late to do anything about it after you have tried for months.

Towing providers and associations need to jointly boycot this company to put them in their place.

They cannot provide roadside sevice without their providers. If each state jointly refused calls from them untill they started paying properly we would not be having this problem, but there is always one guy that is afraid to lose their work.

Agero will collect overmileage directly from the customer at an increased rate and further take money from the providers and then expect the providers to give them receipts for the amount agero charged the customer.

90% of our claims are shorted by as little as a dollar which adds up at the end of the year to a HUGE loss.

Their call center does not answer the phone for providers and we have to ask customers to contact them for us to make changes mid service. This is extremely embarrasing at times and causes a 15 min job to turn into an hour long job, thus making every other customer we have scheduled wait even longer for service. Then they call and harass us about why WE are taking so long to get to the next customer.

If you search employee reviews you will even find their own employees complaining about how they knowingly do and are instructed to rip off their service providers.

In our state auto clubs are required to let the customer chose their own service providers. They violate this law by refusing to issue a purchase order if the customer contacts the service provider directly. Their way around it is to make their customer pay cash for the service then attempt to get reimbursed. What customer has cash on them when they break down?? That is why they pay for roadside insurance.

I have worked for multiple service providers and they all have the same issues. Its time to get together and put an end to this in the form of a strike.

If you can find work elsewhere... Stay away from this company!
