AJP Custom Drums Reviews

Objective Responder

I have absolutely no connection to AJP Custom drums and I can't speak to the quality of their work, for better or worse. What I can say is that most small American custom drum companies don't make their own shells. In fact, even the big guys (Gretsch) purchase their shells from a company like Keller. The difference is Keller makes Gretsch's shells to that company's specification whereas small companies more or less get standard configurations. Either way, Keller and Vanguard, etc., make great raw shells so there is no need to take on the added expense and risk to have the ability to produce your own. The same principle applies to hardware.

The exceptions to these rules occur when a drum builder has the skills and means to make their own shells because they want to offer something that is an alternative to standard drum shells. C&C Drums come to mind. They make their own shells and they swear by Luan as being a great-sounding wood for shells. To each his/her own.

To sum, as a consumer you're the one who is entirely responsible for your purchase. If you don't do your due-diligence that is on you. To complain about a company that claims to 100% American (whatever that means) when you clearly did all your research after-the-fact, is on you. And just for argument sake, I have no problem with a small business located in America, assembling drums from wood shells that they purchased from another American company (that in turn, harvested and finished them from American trees) and who customized them with the finish of the consumer's choice -- as referring to themselves as being a 100% American company. So the individual parts that made the drum were outsourced--including parts made in another country--what's the big deal. If you're that upset about it don't buy anything from a so-called American company because there are very few goods that are completely 100% American made.

THIS COMPANY RIPPED ME OFF AND THEY WOULDN'T GIVE ME A REFUND!!!

Nestor Praniuk has been ripping people off with Cheap Taiwan Made Hardware!

This company buys the hardware from LEA HUNG DRUM Co. (www.leahung.com) claiming his brand AJP Custom Drums is made in the U.S.A when all the hardware is from Taiwan! This company is only a cheap drum company that sells overpriced ""custom"" drum kits or snares for fools!

DON'T BE FOOLED LIKE ME! I ordered one snare from them and I noticed the LOW QUALITY of the hardware! I started doing my research and I was shocked when I found out that the hardware provider for this cheap person was Taiwanese and not AMERICAN as he claims!

I also found out that he never makes any drum shell!! He buys them from KELLER SHELLS (kellershells.com"">www.kellershells.com)

But the Cake Cherry of this fraud is that he violates many trademarks and uses many brands such as Batman, Louis Vuitton and many more!

He offered me an endorsement deal and I found out that his drums are up to 60% overpriced so when you get the endorsement deal you will get the idea that you are actually getting a big discount, when you are really not,

you are actually being RIPPED OFF.

Be aware of this criminal!

He uses the mask of a nice ""christian"" just to get involved with churches and make them buy his drum sets.

I noticed that most of his endorsers are christians and sadly they are all being ripped off by a wolf in sheep's clothing, I talked with other drummers that were his endorsers and they found out the same scam once they received their merchandise but they had to choice because they already paid for it and Nestor wouldn't give refunds.

This company is not christian and is ripping people off EVERY DAY.

Spread the word with all the drummers and churches you know and contact the trademark owners to let them know about this crime!
