Alamo Car Rental Reviews

Alamo Rental Car sent me a damage claim stating that the 2015 Fiat that I had returned had front driver side damage to the door and front bumper. When I returned the car the agent said it looked great and sent me on my way. The company that works with Alamo said the damage was under the car and that someone would have to lie under the car to see the damage. He quickly dismissed the claim and said it would be hard to prove I did it and not someone previously. This is after I mentioned I had seen a lot of fraud claims from Enterprise and Alamo and I had pictures of the car.

After I got the claim dropped that very day I received another packet in the mail from Alamo with more details. The car in the pictures is in some gravel parking lot, not the airport where it was dropped off. The report mentioned the odometer was at 4900 miles. I returned the car with over 14,000 miles. I also zoomed in on one of my pictures only to see that there was a strip of orange tape on the front tire area of the car. This is what they do to mark damage and repairs so somebody just forgot to take off the tape!

From reading other fradulent claims it matched up with it being just under $500 and being charged for loss of use. Also the damage claimed in the detailed report did not match up to what the agent at the claim company said.

Rented a 2013 Kia Rio from Alamo Car Rental in Billings Montana, after returning the vehicle there wasn't any damage to the car. September 11, 2013 returned September 16th.

2 months after I returned the vehicle I get a letter from Purco Fleet Services that there is a claim against me for front bumper damage in the amount of $980.14. I informed Debbie Draper at Purco that I did not damage the car at all during the time the vehicle was in my possession. They refused my request to send photos for the damage and detailed information about the rental of the car after I had it. So I turned it over to my insurance company where I'm covered with Allstate Insurance and a claims representative. The representative also asked for proof of the damage and Alamo or Purco can not or will not provide evidence of damage and Allstate won't pay the claim.

Now Purco is sending threatening letters for collections of the claim and damage my credit report for something I am not responsible for without proof. Unbelievable!!

What can I do at this point to fight this fraud?
