Ally Bank Reviews

These people call multiple times per day, sometimes in rapid succession. They have no debt with me, as I have never done business with them and I have no outstanding debt of any kind at any time.

Additionally, they are calling my father at both of his phone numbers, multiple times per day.

They lie on the phone about why they are calling. Their story is, they will stop calling (they dont), and they're trying to collect for someone who is not either of us.

They refuse to give their address.

I suspect they are calling over a long dead debt, lost when they foreclosed on and later sold a house at auction that we purchased. These calls started almost immediately after there was a well publicized issue at that house.

Their phone number is 866-205-3074

They claim to be Ally Financial

They claim to be calling to collect a debt

They refuse to provide any other information

Today they have called so far (its 11:59AM) at 9:47, 9:48, and 11:11

I have them call blocked, but my phone still lights up and I thought I'd humor myself by actually talking to them (I had to call back, all they do is call and hangup anyway).

I plan to send a letter to their agent of service at CT Corporation System, 818 West Seventh Street, Los Angeles, CA 90017

they have an address in Philadelphia that their representative Danielle claims is for payments only. That is:

PO Box 13625

Philadelphia, PA 19101

Their address as listed by my secretary of state is:

300 GALLERIA OFFICENTRE, SUITE 201

SOUTHFIELD MI 48034

They appear to be... surprise... a Delaware Corporation. I do not have a Delaware address.

Following the FDCPA is obviously not something they're interested in.

I have had a car note with ally for last 2.6 yrs and no issues since nothing went wrong.

This month I accidently paid my car payment 2 times thru my banks bill pay.

I contacted my bank, not ally, this past weekend and they stated since this is electronic payment they cant withdraw the payment. They advised to call my car company I have the loan with which is ally.

Upon contacting ally, keep in mind, they are totally virtural company no physical locations, the cutomer rep on phone said this is not our issue call your bank. I advised that my bank stated the payment has already gone out and they can't with draw an electronic payment. stating this isn't their problem. Keep in mind this is a auto loan company with only internet presence...no branchs ect and you are totally at the mercy of the phone representative, and the 3 I have contacted are all as matter of fact that not their companys Issue.

I have contacted my bank again who is suppose to contact ally and try and get this over payment refunded, but after talking to ally on phone, I seriously doubt this is going to happen.

Buyer be ware, If you bank, or do bussiness with ally there are no physical bank branches to go into, and after my experience with the phone reps...no concern for the customers when an issue arises...thier lack of concern is paramount in how they deal with you over the phone.

So take this for what it is worth, I you do bussiness with ally you are not going to be helped by their phone reps and have no

other recourse but to file a complaint with the watch dogs of this industry, which will take months for those people to do anything also.

I opened an account with Ally Bank on October 15, 2013, and had NOTHING but problems with them since.

First, when I tried to make a transfer of money to a non-Ally account on October 18, the transfer failed though the money was taken from my Ally Money market account. When I contacted Customer Service, I was told the money would be credited back to my Ally Money Market account on Monday, October 21. It is now the evening of October 22 and I still haven't received the money back into my account.

Second, I received my debit card from Ally October 22, yet was unable to activate it. I received a message that the information I entered didn't match that on my account - though I entered the EXACT same information!

When I tried to access my account online October 22, it was blocked. I called Ally Bank to report the problem, gave them the SAME information I had many times before, yet they claimed to not be able to locate my accounts! As a result, I've been ripped off of 186.29 that I can't access at all. I am disabled and on a fixed income.

I would like to see these issues resolved in a timely and peaceful manner; however, I am not the first customer to experience problems with this bank, and plan to take my business elsewhere.

I open an Interest checking account online at Ally bank on March 24,2014.I made my first deposit by scanning a check.Received an email two days later stating that someone changed my phone pin,(a phone pin that I never received, by the way) when I called to speak to a representative, I was told to contact Kathi.K, in the loss prevention department.I called her and ask to have my account closed but she informed me that all I had to do was verify my identity by emailing a copy of my i.d and ss card and also a bill. The next day I decided that I didn't want to do business with this bank and wanted to close the account.Kathi was very rude to me and told me that I could not close the account without sending the information she requested.I informed her that she could not keep my money and she told me that she could keep it, until I send the information she requested because she did't know who I am.I reminded her that I answered all of the i.d verification questions asked when opening the account and if there was a problem with my identification ,then why was the account approved and opened? after asking her those questions she told me that I created those questions (Huh?).I was shocked when she said that. There is no way in hell that she can refuse to close my account and not refund my money.I told her that I will file a complaint with the BBB,the Attorney General and the FDIC.
