I had received a letter in the mail stating i "owed" the company $24 plus an additional $2.40 late fee. I did not agree to press forward with this "service" due to scam reports. Now i'm nervous i will get this stupid fee sent to a collector's agency to a service i never agreed to. What a bunch of bull.

A letter came to me from the American Esoteric Society telling me that I owed the analysis Josef v.J.$24.00 from a report he says he did for me. I have never heard of this man or the business. Now, I have received another letter telling me that because I didn't pay the $24.00, he is now charging me $27.60 and says that if I don't pay the money and settle the so called account, he is going to pass the account to a collection agency. I never do these analysis things. I think their a waste of my time and money I don't have to throw around.I had my identity stolen from me and it makes my life harder and unsettling. I refuse to give in to this person. I wrote on the letter he sent me that I did not ask for anything. Stop sending me a bill. I don't believe in this stuff. Leave me alone and I will be mailing the letter back to him without the money. Maybe I should keep the letter he sent me and just send him a note like the one I wrote on the letter. What should I do and what do you suggest??

Thank you.

My initial contact with Josef v. J was presented to me in a manner with which I thought that someone was offering me help at one of the most difficult times that I am going through. I am an unemployed woman who has fallen on hard times like many others. When I received my first communication from him, I thought and felt that this had to be a blessing.

I was sent a voucher, “Magic Voucher”, from him to receive his analysis free of charge. I still have a copy of the voucher for which I sent a letter to the "Society" showing that I did not have any mention of a cost for his analysis beyond the free offer or else I would not have continued any pursuit.

Today, 8/27/14, I received a letter stating that I have 12 days to pay $28.30 or else the collection agency that they deal with. If I fail to pay, my non-payment will definitely affect my credit history and further fees of at least $41.

48 will be assessed!

I was not informed after the initial contact that there would be added fees that I could not afford to begin with. If I had known in advance that this was going to turn into collections issue, the last thing that I wanted to do is bring this situation into my life, but it seems that I have fallen into AES’ trap. I did not request him to do anything beyond the free offer because; I have no money to finance it! I am not earning any income. I cannot benefit from what he has done and I cannot pay for something that I was not aware of the cost beforehand. I don’t have the money to do so.

I am now receiving letters from the Esoteric Society, which is not a good thing. I feel like I have been duped into something that I was misled into thinking that this was going to be a good thing. I wish that I never replied. This is not a nice thing to do to someone.
