Just e recently contacted American Freight in regards to purchasing a mattress. I was told all mattresses can be sold separately they do not have to be sold as a set. Which I in fact know because last year I purchased three mattresses from the same store and did not need to buy the full sets.
When I spoke with Roy he assured me the mattress was the online price and we ccould ome in and speak with him as for they work on commission. Upon arriving at the store Roy was not there, bubut other gentleman attempted to help us. Saying the online price is each piece and ven though they have sold me just mattresses before they couldn't do it with this set.
The price for a three piece set on the nordicrest halcyon model is $748. ,but to purchase just the mattress was $648. Meanwhile the online price is $266. This place is really bad with customer service and keeping true to their advertisements.
This whole company is a rip off, they never have the product that you want at the time of purchance and dont let them tell you that your product is discontinued because now you would have to wait for 4 week in order to get your money back (thats just to see if it comes in on the truck that they can not tell you when a truck would arrive or even know what is on the truck that they ordered). They are not willing to help you out in any way to get something different due to it being discontinued and it would take just about a month to get your money back. they would rather you pick something different and pay the full difference. From this day forward i will never do business with them again and I will tell other to not as well, such a horrible company.
I work there!! bosses treateveryone as if they are replacable... $0 an hr all commision,,5% checks average $560 every 2 weeks.. 55 hr weeks?? how can they gat away w/this
i have to stay anonomus! i don't have a replacement job...how is this legal??? it comes to undr min wage!!
American freight has to be the most awful company that i have ever dealt with. They lied about the model that we were buying and hurried me to checkout. The couch they sold me broke within a month and a half and they lied to me when it came to the warranty but only after they wasted my time making me jump through hoops. Their customer service is pretty much non-existent because the second that you buy the couch they dont care about you. This fact was evident by the fact that when I spoke to the manager he hung up on me and the employee at the front stopped letting me speak to him.
