WARNING: DO NOT APPLY FOR A JOB AT AMERICAN PRODUCTS, INC, in Tampa, FL !!!! SCAM SCAM SCAM
I should have taken heed after reading the various blogs of people who showed up to interview for a job and left suspecting that American Products, Inc. (Tampa, FL) is merely a front for an identity theft operation.
Just as several people had reported here on RipOff Report, this company had me fill out an extensive application (1-hour-plus to complete).
After 2-1/2 hours waiting in their lobby, I told the receptionist that I retract my application and to please return it to me.
She went to supposedly go retrieve it, but returned to tell me they couldn't return it, but would drop it in the mail.
It is my very strong impression that them forcing people to wait hours in the lobby is done by design. They assume people will leave and for those that don't, they will eventually see you simply to go through the motions to cover up their scam.
Furthermore, it appears they have posted three or four titles on Indeed.com, for the same job.
