Simple, Ancestry, com provides assistancce in dribbles and drabs; just enough to keep one interested in their service. That is it is provided right up to the point where cancelation of their services means forfiture of all monoies paid, like the $99 for six months... With me, it was once 30days passed there was NO REFUNDS, for some poor folks they only had 15days ... They provide all sorts of other record accesses for an additional $99 for six moinths, in hopes of takeing advantage of peiople who truly want access to what is promised/offered.... Better check how many days this site allows for a full refund and cancel the service thea day befrre or they'll do it to you! What appearws to be great information in the begining, then useless data unless you purchase additional access.... What a SCAM!

I am a senior citizen who was preyed upon by this website. You are told that you can cancel their service within 14 days of your use of website and a refund of your payment will follow, however when you notify them of cancellation you are told 'NO REFUND' because of a technicality. TOTALY UNETHICAL!

We were horrified to see that this site says my 81 year old healthy mother is deceased, even giving the date of her death. After seeing our mothers name with DECEASED next to it in the ancestory report, we are convinced this is another company whon scams their customers. Some of the ancestory info was correct but THEY ARE NOT PROVIDING the sevice they promise.

AncestryDNA has let hackers(or it might be an inside job) run rampant on their site. I was contacted by a "June Byrne" who knew my family name and had matching DNA that said I was a cousin. When I got her information from a separate site, I found out I was emailing two separate people. Both of the "June Byrne's wanted my personal information and wanted me to click on their emails. I contacted Ancestry and received no follow up call! I also reported this to the FBI. I would stay away from Ancestry and dont communicate with anyone on there claiming to be some long lost cousin. They might know your family names and have their DNA match, but it seems to be a fraud ring. Watch this company. Please warn everyone not to click or give your email address on Ancestry. Dont give your real name!

I recently found out that ancestry.com has been making unauthorized repeat ""membership""

charges to my credit card. I will have to cancel this card. Iterestingly, another company in

provo, utah pulled the same exact scam. The other company is APX alarm systems. Do not

give either firm a credit card number!!!
