Very bad experience with Antonio Aquino of Aquino Builders. Important note that this is the newest company name he is working under. There have been several others. Red Flag!!!!
I wish I did my homework before I hired this contractor. Hope this report will help others before they become a victim. Antonio Aquino comes across as very charming and personalable and can easily gain your trust. He entices you with an attractive price for your project and it all goes down hill from there.
He starts the work but nothing gets completed. He will ask for checks for the next part of the project and then that doesn't get completed. Before you know it, he has all your money and nothing is finished! Once he has you at his mercy he simply stops showing up.
The price he gives you for the work is not the price you will pay. The bill just keeps growing and growing out of control. I was charged thousands of dollars for a renovation. I paid him for all new materials and he installed used, sub standard recycled materials that he obviously took off another job site. The old bait and switch!
I wish I could post photos here to show you just how bad of a mess he left me in. It will cost thousands more to have the work he did repaired and done correctly.
There are a lot of reputable contractors out there. Antoinio Aquino of Aquino Builders is not one of them. I was surprised to see that there are not more complaints about this contractor.
I encourage you to heed my advice and look elsewhere. If you hire this contractor your money will go into his pocket and not into your home. Very disappointing!
