We have been desperate to get out from under our Time Share. We no longer use it. We would be happy to give it away. The Association Management Department (also called Relief Solutions International) seemed to be just what we needed. We made a "reservation" for their meeting the next Saturday. They insisted they needed our Credit Card to "hold our seat". I felt alarm bells go off in my head, but finally said Okay.
They explained that they would charge $30 on our card if we just "didn't show up." I said we are people of integrity, and wouldn't not show up. However, on Tuesday before our meeting on Saturday, we heard that the funeral of a friend of ours was at the same time as the meeting. I immediately called to cancel our "reservation." They said they would cancel it, but would still charge us $30 because we weren't going to show up. I tried to explain that there is a difference between cancelling four days before the meeting and just "not showing up." Not to them.
I think this company makes more money by deceiving people than they make re-selling Time Shares. I know this industry is filled with scammers and crooks. Now I don't know what to do to get rid of this expensive weight around our necks.
