I received a letter today from Australian Lottery, with the address of 101-18 Holborn Court Road London, England EC1N 2HT.
FAX: 011-441-7827-02161 with Telephone: 011-44-776-5269-676. The letter started with" Dear Lucky Winner:". The letter went on to tell me of the 21 finalists playing 6000 tickets, my name attatched to ticket number ******** with serial number ***** druw lucky numbers 4-13-21-27-36-45 which consequently won in the 2nd catergory.
So, I guess I won $5,800,000.00. Nice of them to convert to USD, unless that is AUS. I was selected for this tax free draw from 2 million names. My luck must have been on fire.
All I have to do is call O.S.A Agent, Mr Tommy King at Tel: 011-44-776-5269-676 and quote my reference number and batch number. I have 21 days to collect this money.
The one thing I need to be informed about is the 10% of my winnings go to the UK Bonds and Creditors, because they are the company that bought my ticket.
Well, I did the on-line search, because I do play the lottos around the world, but I know the guy I deal with in Austrailia and he would have called me if I won through them. So, you can see why I got a little buzz when I first read it, but became immediately suspicisious about the whole thing, because it was'nt from the channels I go through.
Sure enough, I found nearly identical scams posted here. But I thought it was important to put out this newer version to let others know it is still going on and I want to know that I have done my part to help stop these crooks from taking anyone. It doesnt do well to report them to our legal system since I tried doing that in the past when I had people on the phone telling me I won the Canadian Lotto and they were able to email me copies of a couple of checks. No one in the FBI or local Police were interested. It did make me kind upset that no one would look into this, because I know that someone was going to fall for it. But that was then and the paragraphs above this one is now.
I hope you dont get ripped off on this one. Sheesh, I so wanted it to be true, but I knew it wasnt after reading a bit further into the letter.
