I received a card offering a $100 gift rebate good at Wal-Mart, and more. The company was callled autodiscount and promised to send the card certificate for $4.95. I gave them a credit card number, and they would give me neither confirmation number or cancellation number in case i wanted to cancel additional services which they badly and hurredly described to me in broken English. I asked for the confirmation number at least four times, and they told me that it was generated by computer. I told them that I was not further interested, and they told me that my credit card had already been charged. I told them that I would speak with my CC company, and hung up. They have called back at least 5 times -arrogantly telling me that I had already been charged. I should have read your report first. Hugh, Gambier, Ohio
Got a phone call on my cell number from "auto-discount" said I had won $100 gift card to Walmart or Target, whichever I choose. Then said all I had to do was pay the shipping of $4.95. WHats your card #?
I say wait, wait who are you, what comany, youknow all about me and I dont know anything about you. Thats when he told me the name of the company and I got online and he hung up. SCAM
All I know is they called me and asled if I woild like ro enter for a gift card to walmart. I said sure so they transfered my call.
After that they told me that I will only be charged one time fee of 4.95 but I must say yes to all 3 of their next questions.
I ended up forking out roughly 10 that day. I never received the gift card they promised. Amd they ended up charging me 35, 17, 15, amd 20 on seperate names 4 faus later.
They refuse to give my money back. And they still keep telling me to watch for the gift card. That was 3 weeks ago!
Dont fall for it guys its not worth it. I thought it would help me because I make little money and what could it hurt right? They took everything I had that week and I have gotten nothing in return.
