I have never been more disappointed in a purchase ever. I recently went into the Greer location my first meeting was great everyone friendly. Before my test drive of the automobile I was interested in I was told by the saleswoman that I may hear a noise but it was just the loose tag that was placed on the car. After driving the car and talking business and be assured that if my mechanic found any major issues that the dealership would take care of the issues, from the looks of the car it and first ride the only concern I had was the 4 bad tires which I intended on replacing myself as this is a used car. After going throuh my finacial terms and coming to an agreement I handed over my down payment and was told to call for the insurance to be added.After adding the insurance I was then brought a paper basically saying I had to give the dealership three days to find someone to finance the car. When I asked the saleswoman about this she assured me that the only reason I was not provided the lienholder contract was because it was after 5pm and they would have everything Monday and it was okay to put Autotree as the leinholder with my insurance for now. Over the course of the weekend the noise from the test drive became louder and the car started skipping terribly and getting stuck in 2nd gear. I contacted the dealership and was told they were sorry there was a motor mount on order prior to be taking this car in my possesion and they would take care of everything when Ireturned to do paperwork. Monday I went down to the dealership as scheduled only to find out they had not handled any of the financial part as agreed they presented me with a monthly payment more than agreed upon. The manager said he was not aware of the agreement but he would contact the lein holder to correct and was told they could not make repairs that day I was asked to come in Thursday and was promised everthing would be ready and car repaired having to wait and uneasy about the "motor mount" issue I took the vehicle to my mechanic who diagnosed a bad transmission and power transfer unit and said that the front rotors were bad also he could smell gas omitting from the car but was not sure if the gas was leaking without taking the car apart he also had a senior mechanic check the car who basically provided the same diagnostic but did not hear the noise I was concerned about. Thursday when arrived for my scheduled appt with the dealership and waiting over an hour and a half to speak with the finacial mgr he finally comes out and tell me basically this car is still in the process of being financed and he was currently speaking to his good buddy with the finance company in his office and that they were working on getting my contract to term. Finding myself extremely annoyed by this entire process I advised the salesman to just call me when they finally had the ducks in a row, I was asked to step into the office where basically nothing was getting resolved and also an argument about the issues my mechanic found vs. the issue logged by the dealership mechanic I finally decided to x the deal and asked for my money back knowing I would be taking a loss on the insurance as well I was then told I could not have a refund until next week because the manager would have to issue it, finding incredibly unprofessional and still insisting on the cash or a check or promise to pay another manager stepped into the room and asked my husband and myself to step into his office. This manager assured me he was "the head huncho" in the building said that he had already had the car approved and he went through all the mechanical concerns I had he then wrote me " we owe" sheet that I agreed upon and assured me my vehicle would be priority on the repairs that day this is now 4 hours pass my scheduled appt. After being there an additional hour I was provided a loaner for a couple of hours, I returned picked up the vehicle and noticed I could hear the same noise upon my drive home. The next day upon opening my front door to my home a strong smell of gas hit me in the face tracing out the smell I found as I suspected it was the car and the smell was coming from the opposite side of the fuel door. I contacted the dealership and was told someone would call me back after going a day no call back I finally called back and spoke to my salesperson who said she had no clue I even called and she would contact the service dept which she did and told me to bring the vehicle in as soon as I had a chance. Wanting to make sure I knew the root of the issue I took the car for a third opinion paying a $95 diagnostic out of pocket at the Ford service company and then returning the car for the third time to the dealership for repairs. I also took a ride with the mechanic in the car. I spoke to the manager about my concerns and I was told that they would call me when the car is ready after three days passed I called the dealership for an update was tol I would get a call back...nothing..next day call the dealership same results no call back..I went to the dealership and spoke to the "head huncho" in an office were basically the only thing he could tell me was the fuel tank is being ordered and that was the only issue with the car. He advised me he could not tell me when the car would be ready that the only thing his mechanic found was the gas tank and that was the only thing they are repairing at this time he also no eta on when someone would be finished working on my car. He told me that my car was in the back taken apart on the lift and they were working as dast as they could to repair. After much a do back and foward about the other issues I was promised would be fixed the manager told me if I wanted a new car I should have bought a new car.He also started telling me what other dealerships would and wouldnt do and basically did not answer any of my questions I finally walked out with no clue as to when I would be getting this car back and if it would be repaired at all. After days with no call back I call back and speak to one of the sales people they check and say to call back in the morning the car is at Ford. I call back the next day was placed on hold 15 mins, hung up on called back and finally able to speak to a mgr "huncho" guy he tells me finally that the transmission is bad and transfer unit. He said he would call me back Tuesday with an update this was on a Thursday I waited till Friday to call the dealership back left a message called back later was told my car would be ready the following Wednesday.I call Wednesday car not ready and no answer when and was told the two mgrs had been fired but my car they checked again would be ready the next day. Called the next surprise the car is still not ready apparently they had my car mixed up with someone else Im finally given to some lady who tells me they all assumed I was given a loaner or a rental and they would get me one rightaway, I picked up the rental and run into another customer who tge only thing was different about our story was our names! She told me that this was her second rental and shes even been in a loaner. weeks go by no call in the mean time the payment is due on this car I havent had in my possession more than 6 days together after signing but Im hit by an uninsured driver in the rental car so Im paying a deductible on rental I should have never had to get and a car payment for a car I dont even get to drive. I finally breakdown and call the dealership and get to speak to the owner who assured me that they were working on my car as fast as possible and he apologized for all the problems and provided me with his contact number I felt better to know that he was involved and he sounded trustworthy. I picked up my vehicle that week the skipping stopped no gas I thought awesome until the same thump noise returned accompanied by a loud squeal in the front. I call make an appointment with the mechanic to bring it in again get there wait around 2.5 hours and meet the owner ny chance when I told him what I wad there for he was right on the case he assured me they were working on it I wad told it was the breaks they replaced them all good to go now. Leave get around the corner noise thump, call the dealership was told someone would call me Monday. I get a text Monday from salesperson where she scheduled me an appt for 4pm Monday not even calling me I work at this time. I call and speak to the new manager explain to him my problem and that I can not make it down there at this time and I can not go weeks without a car again he ask me when I can be there I tell him I work Monday thru Friday the only time I can bring it is on a weekend day but they would be closed. THE MANAGER TELLS ME BRING IT SATURDAY I WILL MAKE SURE SOMEONE IS HERE TO WORK ON YOUR CAR! Saturday my husband arrives with the car and he's told the service dept is closed and no one was there to work on the car. I call down there and speak to someone a mgr from a different branch explaining to her I was told to bring the car that day by the mgr and basically that its insane to tell someone that and not follow thru on it.She tells me she dont work there the guy is on vacation theres nothing they can do until Monday service is closed. I ask her can she make sure someone is going to be there Monday and wanted to speak to the manager of that branch she keeps chanting there is nothing we can do basically dont care at all when Im trying to tell her that Im always promised a call and get no call and then she hangs up. I call back Im greeted with dont call here no more. Call back again greeted with I have nothing else to say to u and hung up on call again a salesman ask me what is going on I tell him the back story gave him my name which they all already know because u can hear them in the back talking and boasting about hanging the phone up on me then the guy just out of the blue start saying well Im not going to go back and forward arguing with you Ms Carson are you going to give me your name abd number or what? So I adk the guy do he not know who he is speaking to knowing he just called me by name and he just go on about me arguing with him I finally give up on the whole staff and not being heard, being laughed at and mocked by this staff. I finally decide to write a review on their Facebook page and is answered basically with they have done a 1000 worth of service to my car ( which by the way was my down payment) and they are not going to do anymore " good will" service for me. Basically sounding like I should be happy they did something in the first place after purchase and that its time for me to take responsibility of my vehicle and make any repairs I need to the car myself. I find that the only person who cares about this company and its customers is the owner and unfortunately he is not involved enough in the sales part to make sure his employees conduct themselves with the same respect for his company as he do himself. I am completely disgusted with unprofessional demeanor of some this companies employees and it seem like the only people who care are the ones not in the position to help or you can never get in contact with when you call.
