I am not the type of person to write a bad review on a business but, my experience with this company was BEYOND horrible. So horrible, I wish I could rate it with ZERO stars.

I went online and ordered a Christmas bouquet for someone. I happened to see the actual bouquet that was delivered and in NO WAY did it resemble what I had paid for! It was poorly put together, it wasn't full, very skimpy with the arrangement. I hate to say it, it was UGLY. I would have been better off going to the local super market to grab a pre-wrapped bundle of flowers at the check-stand.

I called the company the following day, and they said they would re-deliver a new bouquet to the intended recipient. Shortly thereafter, I received and e-mail stating they attempted to redeliver and the recipient declined.

That is not what happened.

The company called the recipient and gave her a hard time on the phone as if she were the person who called and complained. BEYOND UNPROFESSIONAL. That should never have happened and I was very upset that they handled matters that way.

After addressing this issue AGAIN with the company, all they said they would do was refund a $10.00 delivery fee to me. The bouquet I purchased was close to $90.00!!!!

I have ordered from various flower companies before and have always been satisfied with their services. I thought I would try a new company....my mistake!!!! I will never order EVER from this company again!!!!

First off the address given is their corporate headquarters. I ordered a $60 bouquet called Pastel Purple Bouquet online, on the moring of 5/9/14. When I checked out I was shown a flex delivery date range of 5/9-5/11. Perfect I thought, since they boast about same day delivery online, understanding Mothers Day is a busy florists day. I received an email around 6pm that same day saying they couldn't make the delivery and were sorry and it was being rescheduled.

I was able to track my order online and it kept saying it was rescheduled. I called them on the 10th and the 11th and no new news, except their excuse that they were experiencing an unusual high volume of business(???) - red flag. I called them on the 12th twice and they said it was out for delivery. At 8:15pm the evening of the 12th I called them again inquiring. I made them tell me where it was 'in transit'. I was told it was in San Jose. Two hours south of it's intended destination! Obviously it wasn't going to get there that day - red flag #2. And I'd hate to see the condition of flowers 'in transit' for 4 days! I told them I wanted to cancel the order due to this info and they said they don't do cancellations because the item already shipped - red flag #3. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told they had gone for the day. I thanked them and hung up.

I then proceeded to write reviews about them all over the internet. My gut is telling me this is a total scam internet setup due to other reviews and pictures I read and saw on Yelp and pissedconsumer.com. I feel that an Attorney General somewhere needs to investigate this business. I am also going to check with the BBB. I did not feel the need to read online reviews regarding Avas Flowers. I'm wiser now for sure.

I am having my credit card company suspend the transaction and deal with them to cancel - membership has it's privileges.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They come across like they are a "local florist" when actually they are Nationwide. We ordered a large standing spray of flowers for a funeral that were to be delivered last Friday, June 6, 2014. I received an email today, Monday, June 9th, that said the following:

Sir/Madam,

We apologize for the inconvenience but unfortunately we are unable to deliver the arrangement in time for the service and would like to deliver it to the home of the family, or a fruit basket. Please contact us at your earliest convenience to provide a home address and we will deliver it as soon as possible. Again our sincerest apologies.

REALLY.....

When I placed the order, I thought I was speaking to a local florist. She said the church the flowers were being delivered to was only 5 miles away and "GUARANTEED" DELIVERY! They said they had the wrong "zip code" but I gave them the correct zip code as well as the phone number of the church. This company is a complete joke. Do they really think sending a "fruit basket" is going to ease the pain of not having flowers delivered for a funeral service. Unbelievable.

Please, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! They are heartless.

My complaint directly to AvAS fLOWERS AS FOLLOW'S,

I places and order with AvAS FLOWERS TO HAVE FLOWERS DELIVERED TO MY MOM BEFORE MOTHERES DAY. The delivery was for the 8th. At 7 pm she recieved a box of dead flowers.I have pic's of the flowers she recieved. I wrote a email to avas and expected a responce to this isue. They never responded to me at all.I had to then on the 9th call them directly and after 7 mins being given the run around on there recorded line i finaly got to speak to some one who did not speak english to well.

I explaned my mom has cancer and i ordered fresh beautiful flowers for her and what she got for motherds day was dead flowers and i am angry. The rep said as flowers had been delivered no refund i could have, but they will send her new flowers on an arangement of there descression? I siad either i want a full refund or new flowers she asked me how does next week sound i said no i would not except that at all.

She then said ok i can have new flowers there by this friday the 10th or no later then the 11th which is mothers day. I said i will excpet this if in fact they are alive fresh beautiful flowers or i want a refund peroid and i am angry this happoned. Today is mothers day and no flowers were sent or recieved to my mom !

They scamed me , took my money and thought i would except dead flowers and no demand my money back,They are wrong!I am telling everyone what they did and posting it every where and filing complaints not only with my bank but with every angency i can find.FRAUD!

HOW DARE THEY DO THIS TO ME ,MY MOM, AND MY FAMILY ON WHAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN A HAPPY DAY FOR A SICK MOM WITH CANCER!

I placed an order on Friday for delivery to my mother in Windsor CA. I googled for a local florist in Windsor, CA and Avas indicated they were local and guranteed same day delivery. After I placed the order on Friday, they sent me an email on Friday night saying they would not be able to meet the delivery request but would deliver A.S.A.P. I then got an email saying they would deliver them on Sunday. I was ok with that since they are for Mothers Day.

Now, I get a call saying nope, they will not deliver today either but will on Monday! Really?? The customer service rep I talked to was so non-caring about the situation. She also stated they attempted a delivery on Saturday but no one answered and they left a note on the door saying they attempted. No one came to my mothers house yesterday and didn't leave a note! I would never have ordered from them if you wouldn't have guaranteed delivery by Mothers day. Do not order throught this organization......they will rip you off!!!
