This is my story of Britney or Beth Sturz. This person has many alias names.
I was wanting to buy a purebred Australian Shepherd. I went to puppyfind.com to do so. I found the pretties little girl. I asked as much questions as I knew. Britney Sturtz told me and advertised the puppies as: Georgeous AKC, ASCA, ASDR, NSDR, CKC Registerable puppy. What's Included part said: Registered/Registerable. I was under the assumption that the puppy was already had a litter registration with all the registries. Boy was I wrong! I drove to Ohio to get my baby girl. When it come time to start registering I was instructed by Britney Sturtz to register the puppy as instructed. Starting with NSDR, then ASDR, then CKC and then ASCA and finally AKC. Little did I know, the parents are not registered with CKC or ASCA or AKC. I did some research with the help of another breeder that I bought a dog from and found out that her sire and dam are not registered with AKC or ASCA. Therefore I purchased this puppy for breeding and paid a total of $2000.00 for this puppy and can not get her registered with AKC or ASCA.
Not to mention when I showed up to pick my baby girl, Britney Sturtz where nowhere to be found and her dad was the one that gave me my puppy and she said she was bedridden. I found out later that she wasn't. I did lots of research and spoke to others that bought a pup around the same time I did. Britney told me she was pregnant and lost her child! How could she?
I love my dear girl regardless of that, but I paid for that kind of registry. Now the plot thickens. As time went on I kept asking for the AKC and ASCA paperwork. She then tells me that she has no time limit on when she has to register her dogs through these registries. REALLY? Then she says I did not follow her directions and should not have called AKC about her. Now she tries to turn the tables on me. Acusing me of all kinds of things like harrassment. I am at the point now of just pure discust! So she tells me the dogs are not registered yet. Keep in mind I thought they were up until I got nosey and started digging for information. I am really feeling like I just got scammed now for sure!!! Well, then she proceeds to tell me that when I get to the CKC registery to let her know and she will then send me the rest of my papers. Well that has been done for a month. I have e-mailed her and no response. Over and over again. Now you tell me what you think of this? I am beside myself that I let someone take advantage of me in this way. I do not have alot of money and by all means I work from paycheck to paycheck to survive. If anyone else out there has had an encounter with this woman please let me know. I know I am not the only one. I have found some other people that have had similiar problems.
This person is an incredibly quick talker and quick to pass the blame on to you if you ask any questions about her process and/or paperwork. I have never in my life experienced anything or anyone so unusual.
I have had my puppy for a while and she will be 2 in January. We have had numerous health issues such as heart murmer, severe allergies. In my heart I know that this woman is running a puppymill and not taking care of these babies. Something has to be done and I see 7-10 puppies on puppyfind.com at least once a month! Something is wrong here and if you research her, you will see numerous complaints all over the place.
I had a conversation with her and could tell something wasn't right, and her prices are waaaay high even if her dogs are what she claims. someone who has been to her location, call the local animal control, and any other animal welfare in the area and ask them to do a wellness check, this will be done unannounced, It is obvious she is running a puppy mill. Report her to the attorney general, peta and anyone you can think of. she needs to be prosecuted and put out of business. It is important to get the dogs out of her possession as they are in danger and it seems all of the dogs she sells are very sick. She should be shot, but there are a lot of animal abusers out there. I have not been to her location or know where it is or I would be happy to report her to every place I could to put her out and get her prosecuted. I have left a message for others to call me and give me her location but so far no response. Please do something to save the animals she is abusing at her location, dogs horses etc.
