I strongly recommend not getting your floors done by Beyond Floor and their subcontractors. My husband is getting a tetanus shot because of the nail that went through his foot! We are a 100% dissatisfied!
The quote included removal of 1400 sq. ft. of wood flooring in my home. I paid a deposit of $4500 to Harvin by check. We were told it would be a 4 day job, Harvin the owner said the wood removal required someone with different expertise and that his company would send someone out. In the meantime, he and his 3 employees that looked like thugs stacked all the bedroom furniture into bathrooms and one bedroom, removed our existing carpet and padding, and measured the floor in my house. They broke a picture frame, television, and an antique desk and denied involvement. He stopped work 2 hours later to say the company wouldn't be able to send anyone out to remove the wood in the house until the following week.
It was during this time that we became very upset with how unorganized and unprofessional Beyond Floor was!
The following Friday afternoon 3:30pm they came to rip up the floors there was dust everywhere in my home, damage to my walls and moldings! Harvin was not with this group of characters! I tried to call to tell him what was going on but he did not answer his phone! They finished at 9:00pm after multiple cigarette breaks! They also through there cigarettes all over my front lawn! Along with all the wood they ripped out. They told us that another crew would come to remove the debris the following week!
My family had gone a month with stepping on sharp nails, sharp staples, cuts on our feet and so on. I have a baby crawling around and a small child... They kept postponing when they'll be back to install the new floors and we gave plenty of opportunity to do so.
After a month of walking on subflooring with nails and staples Harvin finally called to schedule the install! He apologized and said that he fired the subcontractors he hired to do the rip out and that he would be there personally to install my new floor. I told him we would be going out of town to visit Family a trip that we planned months in advance. He assured me that was no problem and to leave the key for him. Since we really wanted and needed the floor installed, and had no intention of cancelling the family vacation, we had no choice but to agree.
The Hardwood flooring was installed in our home. It took less time for the them to install the flooring than to fix the damage they caused. They never notified us that they damaged one pipe in the basement. There was water leak in the basement. We were out of town while the floor was being installed only to discover the water in the basement upon on arrival home. My husband Contacted the plumber to fix the problem - that is when it was discovered a nail in the pipe coming straight down from the family room. Plumber decided not to fix the problem, because it was a major task and lot of money that we would not be able to afford. After contacting Beyond Floor, Harvin arrived at the end of the day. In the meantime the heat had to be shut because it would continue to leak. It took them 13 days to fix the problem. I had to be home from work all that time! Now, the ceiling tiles are still not fixed yet.
Harvin demanded I pay him the $4500 balance or he would have to remove the flooring!
I was so sick and scared of them at this point that I said I’m only going to give you $4000 and you should give me a discount for the trouble you put my family through! Harvin said Sorry but he cannot, and started telling me how much Material was etc…,
I gave him a check for $4000 and he looked at it and said Fine if you want to be c**t and walked away!
Once I told my Husband what he said he tried to cancel the check k but they had already cashed it!
Please stay away from Beyond Floor! Make sure to do a background check on your flooring company!
