Blackhawk Network Reviews

I used the service Tmobile prepaid debit card from Blackhawk Network. After a couple weeks I tried to buy something at the store and it wouldn't go through. I called them and after 30 minutes on the phone, I found out that they had blocked my card for some reason. The customer service representative told me they didn't know and it would take 3-5 days to receive a response after it had been escalated. So after loading my card with cash, I was now unable to access it until they investigated the card for a reason I couldnt be told..

After 5 days, I receive a call from someone in the Fraud Department that tells me to email them a picture of my ID and Prepaid card for verification. I do this and wait ONE WEEK. No resolution. I call again and after 30 minutes, I am escalated to the supervisor that identified himself only as Adam - Employee 0024. I explain my situation and he tells me that the case was closed and I wouldn't be refunded the money. I tried to explain that I was called a few days ago and told everything was alright and to submit the documents. He gave me an email address and phone number for someone supposedly higher up to help me but the email address and the phone number were NEITHER IN SERVICE. I asked him more questions regarding the email and phone number and he grew frustrated and HUNG UP the phone on me.

I am only trying to receive my money that is still stuck on the prepaid card. $541.55.

They claim there is nothing there but I can still log on my account and see my balance. They have stolen my money and are giving any excuse to not give it back.

Me and my wife done are taxes on taxact online like we have done for last three years with no problem but we had it direct deposit in our checking account. This time we chose to have it deposited on a paypower prepaid card in witch we were informed that we would have our card within 7 to 10 business in witch we never recieved. I have called them multiple times to check on the process do to the fact that we decided to look up the company paypower prepaid cards and found out so many fraudulent activity by this company that it's put sent me and my wife into an all out panic cause have so much riding on this government issued income tax check. We contacted [email protected] called them and it's nothing but run around from both blackhawk as well as paypower. I ask them were are our cards and yet they can't anwser cause either they don't know or don't care. It's almost as like they know that they never sent them out. They keep telling us to wait more business days and it will be there. Why keep our hopes up on this scam there pulling. The complaints on these companies are a lot and date a few years back so how are they still kicking around.

I am going on my 13th business day now and still nothing. I had a new card reissued and expedited in witch me and my wife know they didn't send out either as they keep denying us the routing numbers for ups. One says they will get it for us while others say they can't they don't have it. It's one big run around this company is full of and they know it. I mean what's some nerve on a company to pay employees to feed their kids and provide while they steal from me, my wife, and my four year old. They want you to give up but they don't know me cause i already been directed by the irs on what to do to get my money back, but i don't want to wait i want what rightfully ours.

Me and my wife work hard for money but we make good enough to pay a lawyer as they will come to see. Thanks paypower and blackhawk for robbing my son of his birthday on march 18 2015. We filed on 7 th of march 2015. Our first card was supposed to be mailed on 7th and it's the 25th. My wife says their is no cards and i'm being nieve but they are good at keeping your hope alive.

On October 14, 2014 my boss purchased a $300 Visa Gift Card. It was given to me the following week. Between the time of purchase and the day it was given to me, while the card sat unopened in my locked desk drawer, all $300 was stolen off my card.

It wasn't until February of 2015 that I opened the card and signed on to gowallet.com that I discovered my card had a $0 balance. Next, I went to Transaction History to see where my stolen money was spent. The Transaction History was blank.

I called the number on the back of my card who then told me to fax in a dispute form while they issued me a new card. They informed me that the money had been stolen and spent at Vons, a grocery store--not sure how you can spend $300 of stolen money at a grocery store without the physical card.

Once I received my new card I checked the balance and it was $0. I called back and they said it could take up to 90 days. Later that day I came home to a letter from Blackhawk Network saying that they had received my dispute form and that:

"As stated in your Account Agreements, account discrepancies are to be communicated to us no later than 60 calendar days after the transaction history was first made available to you. Unfortunatelty, we did not receive your inquiry within this time limit. We have no recourse to recoup these funds for you. Therefore, we are unable to credit your account, thus closing this dispute."

I immediately called the number ont he back of my card and spoke with a supervisor. He assured me they could nothing and that I could try downloading another dispute form and sending it to them. He also said that the kind of card I received is basically like having cash. I'm not sure how the "cash" that was sitting in my locked drawer was stolen.

I also have an issue with their wording, "account discrepancies are to be communicated to us no later than 60 calendar days after the transaction history was first made available to you." I was only able to access transaction history once I opened the card and signed onto gowallet to review my transaction history -- which I did months after receiving the card -- not to mention the transaction history was blank when I DID sign up.

I also have an issue with this wording in particular, "no later than 60 calendar days after the transaction history was first made available to you." What if the money was stolen 61 days after the transaction history was made available? Are you just s**t out of luck?

When my boss gave me this going-away gift I doubt she envisioned I'd be receiving a worthless piece of plastic and 2 hours spent on hold.

I am extremely upset with this PayPower company that TaxAct sponorsed for our tax returns. I used them because the fees was suppose to be cheaper than direct depositing into my own account. They were suppose to be a company that you could trust to deliver your card and money quickly. I waited patiently for the 7-10 days for my card to arrive which it never did.

I called the number that was provided first off you can't get through to them unless you go thru the stolen lost option. After being on hold for over 1 hour I had a forgien lady tell me that she promised my card would arrive within two days. Once again I waited patiently for it to arrive. After the two days still no card so I called back once again

Today I was told they don't know when or if my card will be issued. They couldn't tell me how to get my money off the mystery card. I asked them to give me the phone number of the bank they deal with and they couldn't even provide with that. All he could say is bare with them they'll eventually get to it. But he couldn't explain what he meant by that.

He then tells me that I will still be charged for monthly fees on a card I've never even gotten. This company is such a rip off how you going to charge us on a product we don't even have. How can one lady say its in the mail and been processed then the next tell me he doesn't know when it'll be issued or mailed.

There's got to be some way to get my money out of these ppls hands even though they say there's not. They can't keep holding my money hostage.

These are copies the emails that I have sent to Blackhawk concerning my funds, and I haven't received a repsonse.

First email - April 16th

Trouble Ticket ITR 1188683, I have been trying to get an issue resolved since April 3rd.

I have spoken with your customer service several times to get this resolved. Edgar is the agent in charge of this case and now refuses to return my calls, Meghan has also refused to transfer my calls to Edgar according to her, at his direction.

I submitted the documentation for the original transaction to Edgar in the risk assessment group. He said it was not sufficient, I asked him what would be sufficient he stated a ""real receipt"", the vendor was a flea market vendor and that IS his real receipt. So as I asked Edgar if I can't provide a receipt sufficient enough then Mobile Money should reject the refund and send it back to the vendor. Edgar said that could not be done. The vendor said he tried and because the card has a hold on all of the funds he can't reverse the credit.

I understand that Blackhawk doesn't agree with the reason for the refund, but you are not only holding those funds but also all of the funds and they have nothing to do with the transaction in question.
