Blue Sky Duct Cleaning Reviews

  • Jul 31, 2014

I am writing to inform you of my dissatisfaction with an air duct/furnace cleaning service performed yesterday, July 28th. I originally purchased a "Living Social Deal" from "Blue Sky Duct Cleaning" for $49 that was valued at $230.

Upon arrival, I was shown the dirty vents and furnace that needed a "deeper cleaning" as well as "sanitization" and I reluctantly paid an extra $237 to Indoor Quality Air for these services that were "not included" in the voucher.

Very unfortunately, while cleaning the ducts, vents, and furnace, your technician broke the air conditioner, and my family and I were without a/c for more than 24 hours. He acknowledged and apologized for his mistake and agreed to come back this morning to try to fix it. He was unable to fix the a/c and said he would arrange for (and pay) another professional to fix it between 10-12pm today. I waited around all day, missed important appointments, and was forced to cancel fun outings with my children. Not to mention, my family and I were without a/c due your technician's admitted mistake while "deep cleaning" the air ducts, vents, and furnace.

Once the a/c technician finally arrived at 3:30pm, he assessed the a/c situation. He concluded that your technician had messed up some wires inside our furnace and there was also dust in the coils. He was said the furnace was "very dirty" and "they did not do a very good job at all." He then proceeded to show me the dirty, dusty furnace that was supposedly deep cleaned and that I paid extra money for yesterday. In addition to a broken air conditioner, I feel I was taken advantage of and way overcharged for the service provided.

Although I appreciate your technician acknowleding his mistake, taking responsibility for the broken a/c, and leaving a voicemail apologizing for the inconvenience, I feel the need to voice my frustration and dissatisfaction after hearing from another professional that it was not a job well done. In addition, I was inconvenienced both last night and today, and I am disappointed in the service that I received from Indoor Quality Air.

Well I had a deal come on through livingsocial and decided to take advantage of it. Blue Sky Duct Cleaning, was offering $50 air duct and dryer cleaning. I scheduled the appointment and 4 weeks later they were here. Well things didn't go well, they first asked for my voucher, then inspected one air duct and inspected the system in the attic. After that I was told that I have mold in my ducts and they can get rid of it with 3 separate chemicals which they wanted to charge me $299 per chemical. then wanted to use a UV light for $399. I declined his offer and the worker got upset.

He proceeded to tell his other workers to go upstairs, which I dont think they were cleaning my dryer vents upstairs. The head man stayed downstairs with his vaccum cleaner, barely cleaned one duct, got on his phone and texted, packed up his vacuum and workers and left. I was shocked with awe, and have tried to contact the company. I have left messages with them with no callback. I have contacted living social about the deal and they were able to give me half of my money back in social bucks. Needless to say this is a fly by night company to get money from people. They are even offering a deal on group on for $45 bucks, same deal and everything. Buyer beware.
