Membership clearly stated if the customer were to move more than ten miles away from a local gym, that you could cancel your membership. I called and sent a certified letter to the gym giving them the total amount of monies that should be due back to me, due to my moving to another town.
They called me back stating that 'all monies paid to us are no longer due'. Basically saying that since you paid cash, oh well, your loss. The regional manager was a completely incompetent jerk who did nothnig to accomodate me at all. He was extremely rude and arrogant and lacked any courtesy at all. I even told him they should update their cancellation policy if they wanted to enforce something that wasn't actually written and I even asked him how many other customers they do this to a month, who paid cash. He told me, 'several'. I also asked to speak to the owner about my email that I had written to them, and he told me in not so many words that the owner saw it and didn't care (???!).
My boss is on the board for this community. And for a 'manager' of several businesses in massachusetts to be so arrogant and condescending is a complete disgrace for whomever owns this business.
