Brett is a FRAUD and SCAMMER. He had a very elaborate LinkedIn and advertised himself as an A&R consultant. I am a songwriter and after seeing his LinkedIn I trusted him. I emailed him and he said his consult fee was $175. I hired him thinking he was legit. He was very quick on getting back to me at 2am with how to make the payment to him. I paid via PayPal. After I sent him the payment he started disappearing and barley getting back to me making up excuses. Something in my gut told me he is a scammer. I took initiative to contact Sony Music (he said he worked for them) and come to find out from the CFO and Head of Creative he does NOT work there and they have no idea who he is. They advised me to get an attorney. When I told him that I contacted Sony and I will file a police report, he blocked me from LinkedIn and I think he deleted his LinkedIn.
DO NOT trust this person he is NOT in the music industry and Sony told me that A&R people should NEVER charge you because they get paid when they bring music to publishing.
Brett is targeting artists and producers and writers who he knows might be more vulnerable to get their music out there. He is targeting people who already are struggling and most likely broke like myself. This man is the devil. Do not give him anything. I am going today to file a police report and I will get an attorney. Even if he deletes all his social media, they can still track his IP address with the email address he was using to catch his bait. Now he is telling me to send music but I will not because he is not who he says he is. He is only trying to have email evidence that he offered the service I paid for but he is no professional in music and doesn't work at Sony. He is just scared because I informed him I will file a police report and get an attorney. Evil heartless fraud scammer man.
