Is the same Bruce White who now works as a wedding planner

If this is the same person, then he has also stolen from my family. I hope this creep gets what he deserves in the end!!!

The State of Washington Financial Department SECURITIES DIVISION has ORDERED Bruce D. White to cease and desist from violation of RCW 21.20.010, the ANTI-FRAUD section of the Securities Act. Their detailed inquiry has found Bruce guilty of INVESTMENT FRAUD, and the agency is still after Mr. White (Age -56 of Rosemary Beach/ Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, and/or Maui Hawaii) for thousands in unpaid fines. The official public notice to “cease and desist fraud” readily appears on google searches.

For the purposes of his fraud, Mr. white utilized a sales pitch that was primarilly focused upon his prestigious “Sky Florida Eco Development,” to build up the investor’s confidence. Sky Florida, was a proposed 624 home sustainable, eco-development community. According to Bruce this development was going to be worth a massive fortune at any moment. He constantly pointed out the amount of National publicity his project had generated.

Even more impressive was the fact that the famous Bruce White had managed to secure a $1.8 Million dollar grant from the Florida Renewable Energy Technologies program.

Well…as it ultimately turned out, Bruce’s investment scheme ( for his Hawaiian Maui subdivision) was just a blatant ripoff. And there was no taking the guy to court, as there were already others suing the man. The author even got an email from an elderly lady who’d already spent 12k on attorneys without seeing a dime from Bruce. Of course, since Mr. White was in both bankruptcy and foreclosure, no one seemed likely to see a penny.

As for Bruce White’s Nahiku, Hawaiian estate just outside of Hana Hawaii, he has somehow managed to delay the foreclosure proceedings on that one for years. The ethically creative fellow has sued the bank holding his mortgage, lost, and then sued again…and lost again. Talk about frivolous “truth in lending” lawsuits—here you have a big-shot real estate developer with his own personal attorney, trying to claim he was defrauded by the evil banks when it was he who hadn’t made mortgage payments! Think about this: The man actually sued his banks for fraud while committing investment fraud himself! What on earth are these endless, baseless lawsuits costing the taxpayer anyway? Now he’s filed for a third time in the U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit. Evidently Mr. White wants the taxpayer to pay his mortgage for him because he’s too busy financing “pie in the sky”, harebrained, get-rich-quick, eco-schemes to honor his contractual commitments.

After all of this, one really has to wonder whatever became of the $1.8 Million dollar grant from the State of Florida since Sky Florida has apparently sizzled? Did Bruce just pocket that the way he pocketed the money of his investor? Even the newspaper, “The County Record,” has been unable to determine what is happening with Bruce’s project.

A reporter named Kelli Peacock asked of Sky Florida: “It’s been three years since plans for the model community known as Sky, Florida, were being put in place helre in Calhoun County, but with no signs of development, many readers are now asking, “What happened?”

Quote from spokesperson for Sky Florida) “We are really at a critical financial point,” she explains. “We have some very interested and very influential players at the table talking.”

Kelli ends by saying that the spokesperson claimed to have prepared a letter that will be printed in next week’s edition with more details.

No prepared letter ever materialized according to Kelli. Even the official skyflorida.net website has disappeared. One would think the Sky investors/firm would have kept that site up and running considering all the millions worth of publicity associated with that brand. And the official “SKY INSTITUTE,” the centerpiece for this revolutionary real estate project, has let its registration as an LLC expire for years…which generally means the enterprise has gone belly up. I just feel sorry for the suckers that Bruce got hooked into his Florida project…he almost had me there too. If anyone else has been defrauded by Bruce–and I sincerely suspect there are vast numbers from his Sky Florida or Maui projects– email me at:
