2015 ARIZONA JAZZ FESTIVAL

The Jazz festival was cancelled a week before the event. However, the promoter was selling tickets up until the day before the event was cancelled. They shutdown all social media and then put up a cryptic message later in the day on October 16 to simply say the event had been cancelled, giving no explanation. No information on whether or not it was being rescheduled or how to request a refund. They sent out an email on October 23, that was quite self-serving claiming they were the victims of fraud. I beg to differ, all those that purchased tickets to this event were the victims. Airfare, tickets, hotels and processing fees...gone. We will probably never see a dime of our money and they don't seem to be real concerned. Concerts/Events are cancelled all the time. However, there is a professional way to communicate a cancellation to your customers and then there is BTWconcert's way. I've been a jazz festival-goer for over the past 20 years and I've never seen anything like this before. Going forward, I will make it a habit to look at the promoter before purchasing tickets.

The company rented trailers for dressing rooms for the artists at San Diego Jazz Festival 2015. They promised to pay with a check when we delivered the trailers. The organizer said the person with the checkbook was not there, but would be after the event when we picked up the trailers after the event. The person with the checkbook was not available after the event either. Our manager called and got a credit card to pay for the trailers. Three of the four trailer charges were successful on the credit card. The fourth was declined. Our manager called several times a day and was given the run-around about how the card would work "tomorrow," or the bookkeeper was out sick, but would send a check "in a few days." Finally, they stopped taking our calls. We wrote to the company owner and said we would file a small claims suit. No answer.

This group is very disorganized and does not hesitate to rip off vendors at its festivals. When I looked up their website, I found many other complaints on the internet from other vendors who had not been paid after services were rendered.

Maxwell & The 7 Seas Cancellation Fraud

I purchased this unique Celebrity cruise entitled Maxwell & The 7 Seas for May 3-10 2015, to which the promoter BTWconcerts.com stated was "100% non-refundable" and "highly recommended all consumers purchase travel insurance from their partner Travel Guard in the event that we needed to cancel. But now the Maxwell & The 7 Seas cruise has been cancelled by the promoters themselves, and neither the travel insurance company nor BTWconcerts.com wants to refund my money! Why in the world would I cancel the trip beforehand when BTWconcerts.com specifically stated that it was 100% non-refundable purchase UNLESS we purchased travel insurance from their partner? Their busness practice is very misleading and I will never deal with their company again!

I was selected by BTW Concerts LLC to provide vendor services for their LasVegas Jazz Festival by contract. I arrived in Las Vegas and the venue decided they did not want me to sell the items that I had for sale. Although I was a approved vendor by BTW. The coordinator did not have access to the items that could not be sold on the premisis. I was told I had to leave the festival as a vendor. The coordinator stated that I could sell at another festival that BTW would be having In Arizona in October. I told the coordinator that I would need to be refunded for the LasVegas Festival a sum of 2105.00. The coordinator stated that she could not get me the check until the following day of the next festival. So I waited until the next day and I was given a check for 2105.00. I came back to cash the check at my bank and the check had insufficient funds. I was charged by my bank. I notified BTW Concerts and they told me to take the check back to the bank the funds were in there. I took the check to their bank and their bank said the check was not negotible. I tried to contact the coordinator that the check was not negotible and no one answered the phone. I then emailed the coordinator and she insisted that the company had a change in personnel and it was a oversight. I asked the coordinator how could I be compensatated and the coordinator stated that another check was being issued. To date I have not received any mail from BTW Concerts and my emails are being ignored.
