C & S Enterprises Reviews

My father sued C&S Enterprises months ago. They were served and NEVER came to court. On top of that, the claimed they did not have insurance for our building so they just weren't going to pay him for the problem that caused his injury in his apartment! Umm....not having insurance is no excuse!

They duked it out for years before my father took them to small claims. They now owe him over $7k but will not pay AND they hide behind different addresses. When the court served them with the judgement they sent it back as "undeliverable"! When we called to get their exact address the RUDE gatekeeper secretary REFUSED to tell us their address, instead they hid behind a PO Box address and told him "if anyone comes to their office they will refuse to let them in!" Well I believe it with as many complaints as they have, they're probably terrified! Also, they want to make it impossible for people to sue them! Too bad for them I'm a paralegal and my law firm is on the case to recover what is owed from these scum.

The do NOT exist under their alias name on the Secretary of State website either. They are operating under a FAKE NAME that is unregistered with the state so that they cannot be SUED! Just Google "C & S Enterprises" or "David Kornblum" and you'll see the mountain of complaints and the slew of lawsuits against them! They have changed their name more times that Puff Daddy!!! BEWARE! These people are SNAKES! They do not have insurance on their properties and will NEVER pay their debts! There will be a lean put on the property where the incident occured, I refuse to let this just go away. People need to be warned and these scum need to be taught a lesson. You've been warned!

I rented from C&S from August 2013-2014 at 10122 Palms. They, including David Kornblum, represented to me that the deductions made to my security deposit would be minimal. I moved out and was charged $150 for cleaning and about $400 for painting. Surprised, I continually attempted to obtain itemized receipts and contact information of the individuals that performed the work, but C&S was persistently evasive. I finally got the contact info of the painter, which is required by law, but he was of no help. They even went so far as to ask if I was sure I wanted the painter's number, as he hardly knew english. Later, I finally got it out of C&S that I would never receive itemized receipts for the deductions made to my security deposit.

In sum, C&S consistently failed to abide by procedural requirements of the civil code, such as including the painter's contact information with my final statement, and when coupled with many other of C&S' inconsistencies, leads me to believe that the charges to my security deposit were unreasonable--I can't justify the charges made to my security deposit because C&S won't give me receipts, and I don't believe C&S can justify the charges because, as they told me, they've never prepared such itemized receipts and won't be providing me with any.

I have a longer explanation summarizing the full picture of my experience with C&S, and am happy to provide it to anyone (And if anyone has had a similar experience, please reach out to me as I am currently suing C&S in small claims).

In my attempts to have C&S explain their actions to me so that I could have potential closure in why about $550 was withheld from me, C&S called me a harasser, told me to forget what I've learned school, and was condescending in general.

Please be careful in renting from C&S--I feel blindsided, and I don't want anyone else to endure such an experience.
