Caribbean Cruise Line Reviews

On 10/31/2014 the Bahamas Celebration cruise ship suffered damage and had to return to port on Grand Bahamas Island. My husband and I were aboard that halloween horror cruise ship. We received a letter from the compliance dept. upon our arrival back home that they were happy that no injuries to there travelers had occurred. They apologized for any inconvenience that we mhad have experienced from the incident. They provided us with a complimentary cruise at our leisure and a goodwill credit in the amount if $168 and signed sincerlet compliance department.

I am not satisfied nor do i agree with there offering being fair. I am seeking justice to be served because they not only took each and every ones life's for grantided by not knowing how to use proper safety equipment in a time of distress. They also reported we were all ok which was very clear we were not. It was the upmost unorganized unfriendly panic I have ever been in and I for one am very disappointed and disgusted with the cruise line with there lies and reports.

I for one and am very certain many more agree that we have a huge lawsuit on our hands and I am here to make sure that if nothing else my story is told. I am terrified of ships anyway and now I have anxiety and nightmares all the time my husband never smoked a cigarette a day thighs life and now he smokes at the age of 34 and it kills me that we were just a cruise redo and $168 to them. I hope this gets the justice deserves not only for my health and satisfaction as a human but for eveyone else that this affected on that Halloween horror cruise that deffiently owned up to its name that I thank god for every g'day and night that we did survive.

OMG I don't even know where to start with this nightmare. I purchased in early March 2014, what I thought was going to be a dream vacation for me and my three children with Carribean Cruise lines. A few weeks later I called to book the actual dates and was told that I had a balance due, which had me unease but I paid it anyway. I book my dates in April for mid August 2014. Three weeks before my trip I get a call from reservations department saying I owe an additional $137.00, and will not be able to travel until its paid. At that moment I was done, and refuse to pay any more money. I immediately called my bank and requested a refund, which I got. My bank then advised that I inform the company that I want a refund, which I did, and they said flat out NO. Also the money that they did already had could not secure any vacation with their company. So I would either have to give them more money, or take what I paid as a lost. Trust me when I tell you, unless you have money to lose, please do not travel with this company!!!! And their customer service is the absolute worst ever!!!

Caribbean Cruise Lines Beware!!!!

May 29, 2014, 3:35 PM

Caribbean Cruise Lines is a RIP OFF Company! BEWARE!!!

RIP OFF Company that Couldn't Care Less!!!!

I really mean that!

10 Day Summer Vacation in South Florida including a Cruise To The Bahamas and 2 days on the Beach in Ft. Lauderdale and 2 days in Orlando....

Becomes 4 days in Fort Lauderdale 15 minutes from the beach in a Ramada Inn.

My sister and I are single moms with 5 kids and my parents are over 80 and ruined our summer vacation!

They sent me a FREE cruise.

Then they talked me into paying a little to stay 2 nights in Fort Lauderdale on the beach in a 5 star hotel and 2 nights in the Bahamas in a 5 star and 2 nights in Orlando with $100 for gas money or entertainmant vouchers.

They charged double on my credit card and when I called back they told me that if I go ahead and keep the charge they would give me twice the rooms for a huge vacation for my family of 12.

I couldn't pass that up!

But I was going through a divorce and I told the salesman that I would never be able to get my kids' dad to sign for them to leave the country. The salesman assured me that for a trip to the Bahamas it was not necessary. All they needed was a birth certificate and one parent to accompany.

I checked with Caribbean Cruise Lines SEVERAL times on this several times over the months.

Today I called to give them the birth dates of my sister's 2 boys. One is a minor. As soon as I gave the birthdate the lady said he would need a notarized statement from his dad.

So here I am 2 days before leaving for Florida for a 10 day vacation and they tell me this after assuring me over and over that all my kids needed was birth certificates and an adult to accompany them.

So the cruise is out.

So I asked about staying in at the hotel on the beach for 4 days... They said I could. So I asked if the hotel is in fact ON the beach.

They said, "No it's 15 minutes from the beach."

OMG... Not only are our kids out a cruise and 4 days in the Bahamas but they also will not be on the beach in Fort Lauderdale!!!

So I asked them if it was a nice resort 15 minutes from the beach.

"No, it is a Ramada Inn"

OMG!!!! Not only do we NOT get the cruise and days in the Bahamas, or to stay on the beach...

They are going to force us to DRIVE WITH THEM TO A TIMESHARE RESORT FOR A SALES PITCH after making us stay at a Ramada 15 minutes from the beach!!!!!

In fact.... we can't check out of the Ramada unless we go with them for the Sales Pitch!

The salesmen assured me that the hotel was OCEAN FRONT when I purchased the cruise. I asked several times.

Caribbean Cruise lines is a RIP OFF company. DO NOT TRUST ANYTHING they tell you!!!

They also kept adding to the cost again and again over what the initial salesman promised when he charged me over $3000.00 for 12 people for 2 nights in Fort Lauderdale on the beach, 2 nights on a cruise, 2 nights in the Bahamas and 2 night is Orlando.

I'm sick! Vacation RUINED! $3000 down the drain.

Thanks Caribbean Cruise Lines...

The vacation is ruined this year!!!

So Sad.

On March 23rd I contacted a customer service line for PIC induction cookware. After talking to a representative and correcting an order she informed me that I would recieve a 'gift' for all the trouble, she then forwarded the call to Barbara Cooper with Caribbean Cruise lines offering me an all expense cruise to the Bahamas. While talking I was asked for my credit/ debit card multiple times and told that All cruise lines do this. After giving my information (which I fully regret) I'm transferred to a man who then tells me that $118 plus $624 would be charged to my card. That was the first time throughout the entire call that I was notified that I would be paying out of pocket. The representative then ensured me the cruise wasnt a scam and asked multiple times to put %1 of trust into him. Long story short, the next representative told me that I could get a complete refund within 3 days of the call. I tried calling the number they'd given me then realized it was a fake number when it didnt go through. I'm horrified I won't be able to contact them before the 3 days are up and that they'll keep my money.

March 2012 they sent me a Voucher and 72 hours to claim a FREE cruise.I did not call.I recently received a call asking me if I wanted to extend my expired vacation pkg!,because it would be a shame to lose the $1000.00 i had invested.I what?? When?? I did not make such a purchase &when i told her I had not received ANY info or receipt and asked how she got my card info she hung up on me.It is my sheer bad luck that when they obtained my card info and billed me that I was in the process of buying a condo and borrowing money.I gave the bank all my credit card bills so they could pay them off seeing i was borrowing anyways. On my own ,clearing a house, making a purchase, with ill health i did not go over the invoices;therefore missing the charges they had stuck on my card !!I am out $1000.00 that i could use to help pay my very costly meds. Who sold them my card #?? rotten, rip off rascals.

I did get a packet from this company celebration cruise. Out of ft larderdale Florida. I bought it an on the 3rd day wanted to cancelled it. Was sent to 3 different people ,Amillia, Audrey, an Tasha. Which I argued my point I didn't want the package to her she said y did u get it then if u weren't goin to go. I told her after dealing with the rudeness of the company I don't want to deal with them An wanted a refund. She said No to me everytime I wanted a refund. I told her thats not good customer service an she said I had to be a customer. I said u work with the company an i payed so there for I'm a customer. She argued that I'm missing out on a great deal. I told her I don't care I want my refund again says no. Then tells me a whole spill on that already it's a prepaid an part of the money is already tied up an that if I'm having finacial prob they can only do half of what I paid. I said ita only been a couple days an she told me to be exact it's been three days. Still it's my money an I want to cancel an again says NO to me. I was on the phone an still argueing with this lady. An I said what if the tables were turned an this was u on my end. She said well that's a part of life. So more or less saying I'm screwed. I only got half of the money back an the rest they wouldn't refund back. Plz if anyone knows how I can get the rest would love to know how. Thanks.

This company violated federal law when they called my cell phone and proceeded to aggressively sell me a cruise for over $600. I was on a NO call list and they violated the law by soliciting my business via my cell phone... I want to press charges and get my money back.

I am tired. I've spent the day researching this company and trying to decide how badly I got taken. It's a scam! It's a company who called me pretending to be a Political Survey. I was working hard, and told them I'd answer a few questions, which begin to wear you down, and they the slide into something about, ""thanks for taking our survey. because you did, you've won a $199 2 day Bahamas cruise."" I spent the next hour telling them no, and they kept sweetening the pot with more goodies. I asked them how they could give a week's vacation with hotel and meals for 2, a rental car, and 2 day Bahamas cruise away for $598 (total it was up to now). they said, ""because we own the ship, the hotel, and the restaurants, and we have some empty rooms from time to time. We also know that if we show you a great time, you'll come back.""

I questioned if they were a Time Share company. They said no. I told them I didn't have time to vacation, and they said i'd have 18 months. I said I had no money, and they said we'll add on 2 other bonus trips: 4 days, 3 nights in puerto Vallarta, and 3 days, 2 nights in Las Vegas for $598.

I said, ""I'd like some time to research this trip before buying, and they gave me the hard sale/pressure tactic that this offer was only good in the next 10 minutes - which should have told me something. I was also told me that I'd be able to get a full refund, no questions asked, within the 1st 30 days, so I felt a little better about it. However, as you can see in the other RipOff Reports, no one is able to get their money back. I will add the rest tomorrow.

Avoid at all costs! If you've already booked a "cruise package" cancel it immediately. If they give you a hard time (which they will, their customer service representatives are mean, vindictive, sarcastic, degrading, and manipulative) report them to the Better Business Bureau as we had to do and get your money back. We drove 24 hours (round trip) to Florida and back home for this "vacation package." We paid for a booking extension and hotel upgrades. We got to Florida, and they pulled a bait and switch on us. We did not get the upgrade we paid for. They put us in a different hotel than the one we booked, which was a total dump (dirty mattress, rusted out bath tub, room number drawn on in magic marker, plus the place smelled like moldy tuna.) We called customer service, were transferred and insulted multiple times (I'm not exaggerating.) They would not let us speak to a supervisor. They would not help us at all. My boyfriend and I were both trying to be reasonable with them. We didn't cuss, yell, or anything like that. They still treated us like total crap. We ended up leaving the disgusting hotel with nowhere to go in the middle of the night, and had to pay several hundred dollars for a hotel room because it was late at night during tourist season and everywhere we called that was affordable and decent was booked solid. Between gas, tolls, the hotel we had to find and book at the last minute (or sleep in our car), and the vacation package with upgrades (not including the extension) we paid over $1000. They also lied about the length of the timeshare pitch you have to attend to get your cruise tickets; it's an hour away and it's at their discretion what time you have to be there (this part was not disclosed during booking.) Our itinerary we recv'd in the mail stated a 90 minute pitch. When we got to the welcome center, we were told it would be "at least two hours long and would begin at 8:30 am." Meaning we would have to get up at 6 am, on vacation, to attend the sales pitch an hour away with no set ending time. That wasn't the worst of it though. We could have lived with that. It was the hotel bait and switch after we paid for an upgrade at a different hotel and even called to confirm it prior to the trip, combined with the RUDE and INSULTING manner in which we were treated by this company's customer service people who left us stranded in the middle of the night with no help, nowhere to stay, in a strange city during tourist season, that we decided we would not deal with this company any further. We have filed a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau in attempt to recoup our losses. Don't fall for it. Don't book it. And if you've booked it, heed my warning and insist on a refund.
