Vancouver, Washingon

I was scammed in late 2013 charged me $500.00. The next day I called to cancel and they said that I could not that I would still have to pay $200.00 then they tried to sell me on the services so I went along with them very skeptical and reluctantly. Been fighting them ever since now 12/16/2014. My American Express card I went round and round with they said they could not refund even a dime due to the contract that I electronically signed. My car is still on their website and I have not had one person call me or even a rep return my call. They are a boiler room outfit that scams so many people out of money..

The initial contact with this company is just as others have posted and reaches Canadian residents also. Same thing happened to me last April & in a corresponding email they sent me, it states that if I sell my own vehicle or trade it, I can redeem vouchers totaling $300 from their cash back rewards program. There is no such thing. I hope to reach our local media to bring this to the publics attention so that this can be stopped and those involved will be caught and criminally charged.

I put my van on craigslist to sell on December 2013. A certified car bank sales rep. got a hold of me and said they could sell my vehicle for me with $500 to advertise then I would get refunded the $500 back when the vehicle sold. They were going to add $500 to the $16,000.00 I was asking for. They sent me the contract I signed and sent back only under the assumption that I had a guaranteed buyer already awaiting this vehicle, according to the finance manager. They sound initially like a legit company, the receptionist calls transfers you to the finance manager and so forth. DO NOT DO BUSINESS with this company.

They told me that they have a buyer for me and my van would be sold in 2 weeks. Jason Smith, the sales rep., has also told me that he had other buyers line up for the van if this one fell through. After setting up the advertisement, I didn't hear from the company in 3 weeks. By then, I did my follow up and was given the run around how the buyer didn't qualify for the purchase and they have to pursue another buyer. Time passed by and every time I called, I was told that buyers are low balling the offer and they haven't got a solid offer for me. By now, I was told by the VP of Sales that his entire sales floor is on my case and it should be sold fairly quickly. More time passed by and nothing from this company. Many phone calls later to no solutions. I was able to sell the van on my own. I call the company for a refund and they told me that it has passed the refund date and the best they can do for me is another empty promises below. This is their last email to me on June 2, 1014 "Thank you for speaking with us today, we understand you sold the vehicle on your own making the one time fee non refundable after our 3 day grace period but as a thank you for using our services CCB is offering a free listing with our company valued at $500 at anytime in 2014 and a complimentary redeemable restaurant voucher valued at $600 as a form of compensation. Please follow the step by step process to redeem the cash back rewards program.

Please reply to this email with " I accept and consider this matter closed " to process the request for the vouchers asap."

This email was sent to me on June 2, 2014. I called them again today, 7/30/2014, almost two months since this deal was done. I was told that the vouchers has been delayed and they will send it to me as soon as they have them. I was irate at this time and told them that this is unacceptable. I waited 5 months and you guy didn't sell my van and now it has been 2 more months and I haven't received my vouchers. The same vouchers that was supposedly sent out after 7 days of receiving my email considered the matter closed. The guy on the phone was telling me that my file is flagged for a call as soon as the vouchers arrived. So I asked him why is there a delay? I was told that the voucher company has some issues that needed to be resolve prior to releasing the vouchers. The prior excuses was that they only received 6 vouchers at a time and will release them in the order it was received. What kind of lame excuses is this?

This company is a SCAM and FRAUD with deceptive practice. They pressure you into signing the agreement and will promise you that your vehicles will be sold in 2 weeks. This company has to be STOP. I will be contacting consumer affairs, BBB and all governing body to stop this type of company.

SCAM: Certified car bank contacted me in the begining of 2014 guaranteeing me that they could sell my 2005 Mustang within 2 weeks for $16,500 all I had to do is render their services by paying them $500. I immediatly said, no thank you! I asked how he knew i was selling my car and he told my that his company finds people off of craigslist to call. So a few days go by and the person would not stop calling me. I listen to what he had to say. He said we have a buyer ready to purchase the car in the next 2 days. The sales person told me that he would put $200 of the $500 in to show good faith. All I needed to put down was $300. The sales person said I would have my money back by the end of the week. It was Wednesday at the time of the phone call. He also said that he guaranteed the sell of my car within the 2 weeks because he had 5 other buyers lined up if the first one did not work. After going against my better judgement I decieded to try it out. Big Shocker! I didn't here from the company for the first week. So, I called and got the run around time and time again. Every week I would called and every week I was told. "We are waitng on the papers to be accepted". After a month I was told the deal fall through. I asked about the other buyers and off course I got some dumb excuses. So I was told that everyone was now on the case to sale my 2005 Mustang and if I would take anything lower. I said if you can get $11,500 or better I guess I can deal with that. 3 months go by and not ONE phone call. So I call and get the run around from hell. I was cut off throughout the phone call and told remarks like. " Are you going to call the phone company and tell them they are stealing from you because your phone bill is high" I replied and said " I am paying for a service that I am benifiting from. You are taking my money and not providing me any services. Thats a SCAM!! Mr. Simms or Simmons was this persons last name. Now I went from $16500 plus the $300 I put towards the ???? to $11,500 Plus $300 to nothing. I have lost over $5500 for the sale of my car. I stopped posting it on Craigslist because I was contected and guaranteed the sale of my car by Certified Car Loan. This Scam owes me at least $300 and as much as $6000 due to the value of my car dropping. PLEASE HELP.

I am a fool that has been ripped off by Certified Car Bank. Every report before mine discribes exactly what I went through. I had my lawyer send a letter along with reports concerning Certified and I thought that that was that, WRONG! Bank of America/Visa sided with Certified! I have tried every thing that I could think of to fight this rip off. Certified should be sued for false advertizing as the contract they send states that they will provide :

Mass advertising on our list of affillated websites (I searched e-bey, Hemmings Auto Trader and Certified Car websites and found 0 ad's)

The bottom line is that after 30 years of being a loyal customer with Bank of America/Visa they threw me under the bus, so I called up the credit claims department and pleaded my case one last time today. I was informed that the case was closed due to lack of proper documentation period, end of story. At that time I told them to cancel my account and place it where the sun does'nt shine. All we can do here is pass the word to everyone that we know to beware of this rip off company, does not help us but may, after a while hurt Certified. Some how, some way this has got to stop.

Certified Car Bank Are Scam artists who claim to work for you in the interest of selling your vehicle as quickly as possible in whatever condition it is without first inspecting it, sending someone out or even requesting proper information. They charge 600 CAD for the services and they create a page on their website describing your vehicle from the words and pictures you provided already on your add. tell you. They find you through websites your vehicle is for sale on and they contacted me telling me they have a buyer for my vehicle guaranteed!! At a higher price then I had it listed. They pressured and lied to get me signed up for there service and told me they had a buyer 100 percent. after signing up and after 3 months had passed they kept telling me they had a buyer and were awaiting that buyer to get approved for a loan for the vehicle. They came back and told me the loan the guy got approved for was 11 k lower then what we discussed and that guy needed a co signer to get more. A month later the deal fell through as ofcourse he couldn't find a co signer...then they "opened it up to all agents" for another 2 months with no response. It is a joke. Stay away and lose the headache and save your money. Take the $600 off your vehicle asking price and sell it over wasting it with these liars. the scammer who dealt with me was James Green at first and it got passed around there whole "team". Do not sign any document and do no even answer there phone calls.i sold my vehicle and as compensstion there trying to tell me they will post a free add on their we page give me a gas voucher and restaraunt voucher I can't even use. I have called them over 50 times and they have answer only 5 percent of the time as it went to voicemail. They broke all promises and they cannot be trusted. I will be posting more with regards to these scammers once I figure out what will happen in the comming months As I had not received any comprensation back

Scam !!

May 8 post in on spot. Had exact same experience!!! Unbelievable. Can anything be done about this?

They give you the impression that they had a buyer for your car and it will be sold within 2 weeks pending credit /finance application. Then all these excuses one after another. It's like bait and switch. No refunds, restaurant voucher for $300. We haven't accept it yet and just now know that's its $25 / month and some kind of $30 club from the above post . Is this legal at all ?

COMPLETE SCAM!!!!!! START TO FINISH.

  • May 8, 2014

This company runs through Craigslist looking for people that are selling their vehicles. They call and tell you that they have qualified buyers that they are helping to get financing. They tell you that within 7-10 days they will have a buyer that will pay $500 more than your asking price and that will cover their charge to you for their ""servce"" so it really won't cost you anything to sell your car.

When the buyer never materializes and you call them on it, they have all kinds of reasons why their client can't buy your vehicle. But they already got you to give them $500 on your credit card and can't refund it to you. That's when the fight starts to try to get your money back.

After I got to this point, they said they will give you $300 worth of gas vouchers as appreciation for using their service. Two weeks later after receiving nothing, they send me an email that will give me a $25 per month voucher for restaurants as long as I become a member of this club for $30.

I asked ""What happened to my gas voucher""? Then they tell me that the gas vouchers are only valid in Canada and its out of their hands.

It is one lie after another and I am out $500 with no option but to just accept it. I am in Florida and have no idea where their office is. It is clearly a scam and these people should be found and stopped.
