Owner Mark Kowalski does business in 3 different names Mark Motors, City Lights and Burkey LLC. I recent took my vehicle to Mark Motors DBA City Lights and Burkey LLC for repairs., which Mark insected my car and and gave me a specific diagnosis and cost of $900. When I readily agreed to pay the bill he indicate service would be complete tomorrow and he'd call me when the the job was complete. The next day mid day Mark called me to say I need a engine which would ccost $2900 (used engine and orginal repair cost combined). When I indicate I was not willing to put $2900 into a 13 year old car with 130,000 miles on it Mark suggested he have it junked for me . I agreed to have it junked ad he would give me the difference between what Chuck and eddie gives him for the junk vehicle and the cost of the diagnosis $79, which left me with $175. I agreed and signed and gave Mark the title to my vehicle for Chuck and eddie's. Mark then proceeded to sell me a vehicle on his lot. I didn't see anything I wanted at the time so I left. Two days later I returned to inquiry abot a vehicle on the lot and since it was early Mark had not arrived yet. I went to the repair shop door and when the repairman open the door Waht did I see but my vechile on the lift being repaired. When I inquired about the repairs to the repairman he informed me Mark just bought this vehicle to fix and resale....What!... I just not happy by this unethical approach to business showed by Mark Kowalski. I waited for Mark and we discused the matter. He was very angry I learned the truth of his business practices too say the least! After a long conversation we disussed me purchasing a vehicle on his lot and I signed the paperwork for a vehicle purchase out the door $11,130. Since I was pre-approved for $20,000 from my main street financial instution this purchase shouls have been simple and swift. After my banker spoke with Mark and received the vehicles title and the dealer's certification paperwork I received a call from my banker saying ""under no circumstances would issue a check to this auto dealer"" and suggested I get out of that dealer. Why? I asked.... come to fine out Mark Motors, City Lights and Burkey LLC has a number of fraudulent claims and illegal criminal cases against and has had to paid fines for auto related fraud and illegal activities in CT! Look them up please before you buy or have your vehicle repairED with them. BUYERS BEWARE! DRIVE RIGHT BY CITY LIGHTS! DO NOT STOP AT MOTOR MARKS! GO ELSEWHERE FOR SERVICE AND PURCHASES OF VEHICLES! MARK MOTORS, CITY LIGHTS, BURKEY LLC. IS AN UNETHICAL BUSINESS! OLD DOG SAME TRICKS!
